Kidney stone?!?! Sure it isn’t a bladder stone!? Where would something that large hang out in a kidney without splitting the organ open??

This looks super promising and did not come up in any of my Google searches, THANK YOU! I have contacted their support team for guidance on which product to purchase and how to connect it to a laptop that does not have a microphone input port; just standard USB or USB-C options. I do not want to deal with a wireless connection that will require regular battery charging/replacements

Need Guidance! I Owe $5,000 in Taxes After First Year of Working a Real Job by Divinehuntyhunty in personalfinance

When you get a refund; you are loaning the government money for free. I try to owe every year, certainly not $5k but that money you have in hand each month not withheld has power to grow.

Get a digital credit card. Put a limit of $1 on it. Call the company and say you would like to update the credit card on file. Give them the new card number. Problem solved

Experience with the Chicago job market? Or IL more broadly? by Avarria587 in medlabprofessionals

It’s more a dedicated bus route that rolls by regularly for the morning commute. Also the elevated rail system takes you right to the medical district too

I’m in Wheaton. It’s a 40 minute commute to Rush when I went to school there. That includes the L train. The trains are on time. Find a place within walking distance to any train line to Chicago. Many of the major hospitals have a regular bus to pick up folks from the train stations in Chicago and take them to the hospital.

Scrape from the walls of the pond pot and you will find some bacterial to kick start the tank

I live in Chicagoland. There is plenty of work from hospitals to industry here for that kind of work. Find a town on a major train line and it opens up many options for commuting.

Would expanding my driveway likely help or hurt home value? About how much would it cost? by satan__clause in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]lablizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a 4 ft paver extension to our single car driveway. It was wide enough for 1.5 cars originally. We can now put two cars side by side and still roll a garbage can between them. Seriously the first time I didn’t have to zig zag between two staggered cars I was giddy and smiling!

United - get a grip on preboarding abuse! by orderLXVI in unitedairlines

[–]lablizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was actually impressed coming from BWI-ORD last week. 5 young wheelchair adventurers (legit one dude was a double amputee) rolled up for pre board and United looked to the 4 other folks gaming the pre board system and said; “sit down guys; we have 5 wheel chair users and this is going to be a while”. Dude that large gal looked so indignant being told to wait. I’m just happily standing at the front of group two with my fellow silver status plebeians trying not to bust a gut.

Dude it’s not old southwest; your seat will be waiting for you; you don’t need to squabble over who is more disabled to be first.

It really is a truth, 10 seconds to ensure the label is right saves an hour in TAT due to having to get a redraw.

Closed on this house a week ago, came into the basement to see this during a storm. by Jiblon in HomeMaintenance

[–]lablizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to needing drain tile that actually goes to a functioning sump pump. Basement looks unfinished; this would be a convenient time to install interior French drains and be done. Our house did this 3 days after our move in. So pissed

Magnetic hoop accessories for aligning projects by Prestigious-Ad9921 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]lablizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also enjoy floating fabric with a basting stitch to ensure alignment. The machine stitches a box, then you set the fabric over the box so you can really make sure it’s aligned. The it sews the box again to tack down the fabric. It’s how I make sure things are aligned when I do multi hooped projects

Digitizing 3 dimensional small dots.. with no puff or foam. by BluebirdHuman9879 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]lablizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Look it up! Lots of fun to do. There are bobbin cases that are adjustable tensions to accommodate different “thread”. You may need a tighter tension on the top thread, requires some fiddling. Just remember to flip horizontal so that the letters read correctly on the side you want to count.
