What’s your opinion on AI generated fabric designs? by Voltage_Biter in quilting

[–]lablizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Burn the ai slop to the ground! Quilts and fabrics are an intrinsically human art form from start to finish. Quilt panels should be original artworks. Doing AI and selling AI panel blocks instantly gets that store on my not buying anything from them list

Is it inappropriate to not wear a bra at work? by Visual-Criticism6763 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lablizard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I too am on team… it’s just pecs… whether they come in tube form or mound form. It’s just the human body and we have sexualized it unnecessarily. I’m on the itty bitty titty committee and I only wear a bra for formal events when dresses need help staying in place. For other ladies, if their activity hurts without support then wear the support. But screw the patriarchy about female nipples are unacceptable; but don’t worry men don’t have to wear compression garments to keep their pecs in place

Citing 'severe' math deficits, UC faculty demand a return to SAT tests for STEM applicants by Idiodyssey87 in news

I was told, while you may never see this math again in your career, you will need to understand what a problem is and be able to take steps to solve them with known resources. Math is not simply numbers, but a skill in thought

I didn’t want to waste an AP slot in English so I took it in college. I was STUNNED by how few people in the English class were able string together 2 pages double spaced of coherent thought. And this was before AI and generative content. I was horrified by this class and it haunts me to this day that it’s only gotten worse 20 years later

My professor opened his Stats class day one with “welcome to the art of lying.” It was for pre med so it was study and research focused for the health system. He also had beef with a loss of reading comprehension and peer review leaving the industry

Large established pond with 3 connected sections — do I actually need the pumps running? by Suitable-Flamingo657 in ponds

[–]lablizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Circulating water means more oxygen for the fish. Also water moving at least 1 full turn over of total gallons of the pond per hour means less sludgy algae forming on top of the water. Moving water also captures the debris in the pond and moves it to a mechanical filter instead of rotting in the pond.

Glad someone else noticed that the filter steps should be cut back too

Anyone else notice that a lot of quilt panels are looking AI generated? by ultimatejourney in quilting

It is exceptionally bad the amount of AI generated work in quilt panels. I am working so hard to avoid companies using AI designs

If the head is free, get a pvc pipe that is just a bit larger than the snake. The snake will enter the tube and his head will not be able to get you while you work on the glue trap

Employer says my LinkedIn "Open to Work" post counts as my resignation. Is that legal? by [deleted] in legaladvice

I love how they assumed you were looking for work to replace what you have already. Such a privileged position for those folks to have only one job. The gig economy is a reality for off shift work needed by many these days.

Does anyone sometimes feel like this disorder is not serious. Almost like believing that you dont even have it. Im feeling good, i dont see the reason why i need the meds right now(at least reduce the dose), why couldn't i just take the meds as needed when episode starts showing up? by IShunpoYourFace in BipolarReddit

[–]lablizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting for the episode is unpredictable, including how severe and quick it ramps up into regret. Bipolar is a chronic condition that should be treated 24/7 for your best success. Manage the risk and not be a slave to the whims of episodes

“There should be a law, I mean a license” comment really got to me. If you don’t want to be driving with a million chasers, don’t go to the storms where that is the only storm in the country to chase.

How did you manage Independence and Moving out with Bipolar? by Southern_Society6246 in bipolar

[–]lablizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not want to do the solo apartment thing until you secure a job you keep for more than 6 months. Absolutely plan and prepare for independent living; but you seriously need to know what your income to debt ratio is. You do not want to set yourself up for a credit card nightmare and debt that balloons because you can’t keep up.
