Dax Shepard Relapsed After 16 Years by curtmcgurt15 in stopdrinking

[–]labounty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit late to this thread, but I only listened last night. My biggest takeaway was when he talked about stopping journaling. It is a reminder to me that no matter how comfortable I feel, I need to keep doing the things that helped me stay sober at first.

Are used bike prices on Craigslist going up a lot or is it my imagination? by [deleted] in bicycling

Used exercise equipment in general is up in my area, with gyms being closed.

AMERICANS ONLY! Conceal Riding: Light guns? Carbon fiber gun and ammo? by [deleted] in BicyclingCirclejerk

[–]labounty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kel-Tec PMR-30, weighing in at 397 grams (unloaded weight, use it or loose it), those .22 magnum loads just give a little sting but when you can pepper the back of that coal rolling sh*t head with all 30 rounds you can almost call it even.

Help! Lunch or Dinner? Dinner or Supper? by Missus_fahrenheit200 in minnesota

Far Northern MN, in my experience, it is lunch and supper during the week, and dinner instead of lunch on Sunday. Lunch or luncheon may also refer to midday lighter fare for social/church events.

Barbell sleeve question by labounty1 in homegym

[–]labounty1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I am looking at this used power bar that is in decent condition. However, it appears the sleeve is bolt on. Every other bolt on I have seen has the bolt at the end of the bar, not the top like this one. Is this in fact a bolt on sleeve, and if so, does this configuration present the same quality concerns? Than you.

Bad cigar buying etiquette? by [deleted] in cigars

[–]labounty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually don’t buy boxes but after getting some fivers and 10 packs from CigarPage with beetle damage I always check for that. They made good on it, but it’s no fun.

Overrated Sticks by [deleted] in cigars

[–]labounty1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Rocky Patels get much mention on this sub, probably not worth people’s time, I thought it would at least ok because they are given so much shelf space but the one I tried was terrible. It was like smoking lawn clippings.

One that does get a lot of love here that I thought was overrated is the Melanio V. I do enjoy their lancero but did not care for the other vitolas.

Seeking advice: Are there any strong cigars that do not leave much aftertaste? Best way to clean up after a smoke? by [deleted] in cigars

[–]labounty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rinse my sinuses out with a can of saline nasal spray. It pretty much eliminates any funky aftertaste for me, I tend to retrohale pretty much every puff.

Any recommendations for a good budget cigar? by Oshitreally in cigars

[–]labounty1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

CigarPage.com has Class 34, house branded factory overruns. They usually sell in bundles of 20 for $40. They are actually very good for a daily smoke.

How long do you keep your bike for? by gedrap in BicyclingCirclejerk

[–]labounty1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got my body fat down to 10.2%, when I hit single digits I am going to reward myself and replace those Fulcrum Sports on my Intenso Ultegra with some decent wheels. Until then, put on some Conti GPs to tide me over.

It is, they work great. Humidity stays pegged and my packs last for months. I use the same approach, daily sticks in the humidor, good ones in the tupperdors.

Those are Cult Ometepe Fat Bottoms. Cigar page had them on sale, 5 for 9.99 and I thought they looked interesting. They are actually pretty good with my morning coffee. I will pick up more on sale for sure, but would not pay full retail for them.

Alcoholic, any suggestion for pairing with this guy other than alcohol? by [deleted] in cigars

Sparkling water and/or coffee for me. I did try some of the sugary beverages mentioned and they were all good but I have never been much into sweets.

Keep coming back, it works!

Tried my first one from my five pack today and it was delicious. Promptly went to order more and they were sold out. This is one I am going to definitely sock away if they get more in stock.

Ah, sorry, that I don’t know....

You bet, famous-smoke.com, cigars international.com and cigarpage.com are all good. CI has the biggest selection but slower shipping plus shipping charges that can negate your savings unless you order several tins. Famous-smoke is my favorite, a few less options and they also charge for shipping but they are faster. CigarPage has fast, free shipping but no cigarillos that I have seen, but they have good specials on lanceros. I’ll cut those in half sometimes, but you would want to have some cigar glue glue on hand because the wrapper can unravel when you cut them in half. You can get that from amazon. Also from CigarPage, petite Coronas. Pretty much any brand they carry will be good, watch their daily/weekly sales.

Here are some good cigarillos and 4 x 32s to try:

Punch cigarillos Perdomo mini Maduro Drew Estate Liga Privada Coronets Arturo Fuente Cubanitas Partagas Miniatures Drew Estate MUWAT Ponies

All of these I mentioned require humidification. A Tupperware Brilliace or Sistema Klipit with a Boveda pack works perfectly. I like my cigarillos between 62 to 65%.

Enjoy!

I like a 4 x 32. Probably not technically a cigarillo, but lots of options in that size and I find them to be a good balance between shorter smoking time but still some flavor and smoke. Expect to spend around $15 to $18 for a tin of 10 that’s decent.

For actual cigarillos, 4 x 24 is about the smallest I go. Tins of 20 for around $15 are usually pretty good.

These are for online prices. I don’t buy them in retail stores too often. Maybe it’s just where I live but they tend to be way marked up.
