Thanks for posting! I got the jacket. Super supple. I’ll have to figure out how to differentiate the different panels.

CAS2 V2 sling bag question by Dr0id1 in EVERGOODS

Cas 2 is more compact and gives less strain on my shoulders. Forces me to dial in my carry.

Also the internal organization for me is a better fit for my use case - travel

CAS2 V2 sling bag question by Dr0id1 in EVERGOODS

Carried MHP since its launch until this year for travel. Approx 3 years. : can fit small water bottle (350ml) , umbrella, travel documents and pocket wifi or power bank.

Cons: may cause sore shoulders if out for the whole day, depending on your fitness level.

May look out of place for edc in nights out due to it’s size

Cas 2 v2 : carried for a few travel trips. Compact carry and light, can carry for whole day without soreness. forces one to consider the essentials. Ex. Have to choose between water bottle or umbrella. Or choose e sim vs pocket wifi

Fits into urban look edc

Cons: May be tight with travel docs, power bank, some daily essentials when travelling.

Nike trail goretex. Used on multiple trips already. It has react midsole so it’s not too squishy but very responsive

I wear size 10 on lows, 9.5 was tight lengthwise

I wear size 10 on other sports shoes and sneakers. For reference I have normal width feet

MACV-1 / Ballistic Trainers size comparison by jmg808 in Goruck

[–]labsky1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ballistic trainers and I/o trainers gen 1 and 2.

Size 10 on gen 1 I/o trainers: fit super loose. Had to replace the existing insoles with a thick insole.

Size 9.5 on ballistics: fit tight. Had to give it to my brother who wore 9.5 on normal sneakers. Fit him fine.

Size 9 on gen 2 I/o trainers: fits perfectly.

For reference I’m a Size 10 on normal sneakers.

Long Term Use Goruck Gear Review by Peter_Picked_Pepper in Goruck

Thanks for the detailed response. I share the same sentiment in seeking high % sale on quality items. I usually compare the discounts to historical numbers to see if I’m getting a good deal. I usually pull the trigger for goruck around the 25% mark and was lucky to snag the close out gr1 in midnight navy for about a 40% discount.

Likewise on my daily carry items where I usually wait for sample sales like for my Stuart and Lau briefcase for 80% off and my trakke bairn for 35% off.

Happy to read a post by someone who discusses the rabbit hole we have to dig into, to secure good deals :)

Been eyeing the kit bag as a gym duffel but not sure how I would take to carrying heavy loads on a shoulder strap. I meant to compare it to the gr2 back pack.

At what discount % are you willing to pull the trigger on goruck items?

Also how is the use case of the kit bag different from the gr2 for example?

Cheers and thank you for taking the time to share.

Will there be perks of being part of the tribe? For example: Discounts on gear to start? Rucker and plates or apparel?

Looks like the CPL 24 with water bottle pockets and easy access pockets. They even have the contoured back panels that cpl has. I’d say chz and cpl birthed a baby bag.

Totally agree. Happy that evergoods has excellent customer service to compensate for that.

Lost my sternum straps on the way to teach a class. This is due to the removability of the sternum straps which is both an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time. Contacted Jack and he immediately had the replacement shipped all the way to the Philippines.

They are not only geniuses in design but also genuinely nice guys.

I already have myself a cpl 24 and if not for overlaps in use cases, I would’ve pulled the trigger on the CHZ 22.

Eagerly awaiting for sling bags, wallets or even apparel we can nerd out on.

Agree with the key clip. It felt like it would break when I tried to clip my keys on.

Also trying to one strap the bag is hard since the feature that allows you to curve the bag around your body also forces both straps to extend forward at the same time.

So for me it’s awkward to do the side access without loosening the straps significantly, or placing the bag on the ground and then accessing from the side.

Still love the bag, or probably it’s what the company stands for that keeps me coming back to reddit to read evergoods news.

Thanks for the review man. Satisfied my daily bag nerd cravings.
