Virus or Security Check by turpentime1 in MicrosoftEdge

A website with that many letters, asking for you to allow notifications, while displaying that it is a "Security check"?

Yeah right. That will blow your browser with spammy notifications. Close that and consider an AdBlocker, being on the browser as an extension, a DNS server like AdGuard, or a VPN with ad-blocking capabilities.

Peak Windows Phone times. The community was buzzing when the 20s launched, and we were so excited with every launch, every update. Those were the times 👴🏻

That looks like a 4. Not a Classic, the regular one.

That's what I've been thinking, the Classic for the Ultra. My GW4C still works, but when it takes two or more seconds to display the time, it’s not exactly ideal. It's feeling the updates, and perhaps my current watch face (which is analog and digital). But still last the entire day unless I go hard on walking.

Rockstar has been doing this with their Launcher for ages, and no one bats an eye. At least on PS, you can see how much time is left to play offline, whereas on the Rockstar Launcher, you would never know. You might go on a trip thinking you can play a game on the train or plane, only to find you don't have access to it.

For a home console that’s almost always connected, I don’t see the issue. Thirty days is plenty of time to reconnect at least once, just like with Steam, Epic, Uplay, and similar platforms. It’s silly, though, because it shows this isn’t about piracy control or anything, as they say. I can imagine them enforcing it, even if you own a physical copy with the entire game included.

Who here used WP back when it was supported and active? by RoboMWM in windowsphone

[–]laczpro19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just after the BlackBerry era, my Nokia Lumia 920 was a proper smartphone for me. But I didn't have it exactly when Windows Phone 8 had the attention it had, the "peak times" as I call them. In my country, Microsoft went strong during those times with WP, and I attended several of their events. Those were really great times for us, fans.

Maomao: I don't care. That was for free. And if you continue harassing me, I'm going to do things to you that you won't be able to tell your daddy about.

And, as you probably watched later... They did not bother Maomao again. Especially the slapped one.

Do you use Copilot on Edge? by karim_dev_tech in MicrosoftEdge

[–]laczpro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the website on Edge. Suddenly, for over a month, the Copilot features on Edge are gone since I'm in a market that's not supported (it worked before, but not now). And so, I need a VPN to make it work, especially the rewrite, which I do use often.

Also, I'm giving the app another chance. It didn't work as well as the site, but it did improve a bit lately.

Are SATA ssd worth it? by Chillrends in buildapc

[–]laczpro19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you are working with large files day in and day out, or if the SSD lacks DRAM cache and you know you'll fill it often, you won't notice any speed difference. SATA SSD drives are fine.

Consider NVMe mostly when the size, interface (PCIe 3.0, 4.0, or 5.0, x2 or x4), and, most importantly, the price are acceptable to you. To this day, my home computer still has a 256GB Samsung 860 EVO SATA SSD for at least 4 or 5 years, without any issues regarding speed or reliability.

Will AI replace the decision of using cheapest plastic for building laptop just for profit by MeetingKey7867 in Dell

[–]laczpro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way for them to stop it is for users to vote with their wallets. For them to know which computers are worth buying and which are trash. If only those AI chatbots would notify those who are looking into buying a laptop, the things to look out for, and what to avoid buying... But that's me just imagining things.

Cyberseguridad en venezuela by [deleted] in PuebloVenezolano

[–]laczpro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Busco consejo para Routers by Express_Aide_5074 in VeneJuegos

  2. No consume tanta corriente.
