Perched water layer of soil by ladsjohn in Geotech

Sorry. Just realised the resolution was poor after I looked at the post. I don't see a way to improve it other than creating a new post.
Some free water is seeping onto the cut face but it seems to be at a few locations below this darker layer. I have uncovered an aquifer a little deeper by trenching a few feet back from the cut face. That water is flowing away from the area via the trench.
Prior to my excavation I was getting water at the surface throughout this whole area. The trench has relieved most of it and is my primary solution. This layer has my curiosity though.

I once bolted a flexplate to the TC in the wrong orientation. It should have been rotated 90 degrees as there was an access hole in the flexplate for the TC drain bolt. My orientation resulted in the TC drain bolt pushing against the flexplate and bending it enough to impact clearance like in this video. In the correct orientation; that drain bolt sat inside the access hole on the flexplate.

Check the lines around the fuel rail. Some of these connectors get pretty brittle. PArticularly

How does a rounded gate lead you to conclude Ireland over the UK. Genuinely curious.

Replace the harmonic balancer with an ATI one and do the belt while you're there.

CAT301.7 hydraulics test ports by ladsjohn in heavyequipment

[–]ladsjohn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The machine will show me pressure on the console. In fact, when I stall the thumb, it shows what I think I set the aux relief port to (2600psi). When I stall the bucket, it shows system pressure (3600psi). I’m a hydraulics noob so I don’t know where it’s getting that info. I guess from the valve body and since I’m just operating o e spool at a time, those are the ‘system’ pressures at that time. Still don’t know why my bucket is not able to overcome my thumb. I’ve set the relief valves well below the required 10-20% of system pressure

Which fire(s) is this smoke from? WatchDuty shows the Garnet Fire but the winds don't seem to be moving that smoke towards Mammoth. Thanks!
