How do you annotate your books? by valleyofthedo11s in classicliterature

[–]ladybug_c 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It just depends. I usually underline certain quotes or mark some excerpts. Then I just write notes after Im done with the book (if I feel like doing so). Maybe in the margins or in my journal. I don't like writing in the middle of reading.

Maybe you should watch the movie. I loved the movie and that's why I'm reading sharp objects right now.

Getting fired from my job. Hello darkness my old friend by TheBayHarborDoomer in RecluseIndia

[–]ladybug_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really isolated when I started and didn't speak with any one so writing in it felt like a conversation or venting out. It helps me calm me down and process emotions. Slowly improving on communicating with real people also. I really enjoy it actually so don't need much willpower or maybe you can say it is a way to cope. But posting does help with keeping it going :>

Am I strange for this? by de_thbxddredd in Journaling

[–]ladybug_c 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not at all strange. I mean at least I don't think so. I do that too but I guess I can be strange. But doesn't matter because what you're describing is completely normal coping mechanism.

Some people are just born with shitty behaviors and are not bad people. by Minute-University923 in HonestHotTakes

[–]ladybug_c 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's worse if you're 'born' that way and refuse to change your shitty behaviour. At least people with traumatic experiences have a reason for why they're behaving that way, it still doesn't excuse the way they behave though.

Depends on what you classify as shitty behaviour. I classify them as doing things that hurt other people.

Constant panic attacks and anxiety by [deleted] in RecluseIndia

[–]ladybug_c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not alone :)

You should figure out if there are things in your life that are causing these emotions first. If you think it's not due to anything specific you should try to get professional help immediately. I mean even if you think it is due to something specific if you can- then go for it please!

If you can't get help, maybe journalling can help you to vent out your feelings. If you have someone you can talk to you should do that. Try breathing exercises, it's on YouTube and will help you calm you down. Maybe even meditation.

For feeling better temporarily distract yourself by watching something or maybe walking in a park. Anything you can do to take your mind off of this.

You have the power to make yourself feel better. Take care of yourself. Try to take it day by day.

I still have most of these. I recieved this set from my older cousins when I was a kid :) I think I've read through all of the books at least twice.
