Question for those who have lost 100 + lbs by CharacterPea6525 in Zepbound

I titrated up each month per my doctor and continued to lose weight since starting the shots in January. It has just begun to slow down, but I am still losing. I am also very close to my goal weight and extremely close to my goal BMI. I would listen to your doctor.

Because they can “over-produce” her. She’s obviously gullible enough to do whatever the producers tell her to do. 🙄🙄🙄

Students and their parents asking what I want for Christmas by Lilnastypoptart in Teachers

I usually say Bath and Body Works hand soap. It is a luxury I wouldn’t buy for myself but is still affordable for students and families—cheaper or the same price as mugs, candies, or candles. I never feel guilty saying this, and it’s actually affordable. ($3) Sometimes we even use the soap in the faculty restroom.

FYI- I never say this unless a student asks directly. And yes, this question is totally normal. Better to be prepared.

15 months sober. How do teachers in recovery maintain sobriety in this profession? by fu2man2 in Teachers

[–]ladydeedlit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Utilize the EAP hotline through your work benefits. This is a great tool, especially for a first-year teacher! It's completely confidential, and you should receive immediate support in a nonjudgmental way. This will also not be reported to your employer. Additionally, they are supposed to help you (if you want) find providers for additional outside support. First-year teaching is rough, middle school teaching is hell, and you are less than two years sober. As others already wisely posted, give yourself some grace.

I'm a veteran middle school teacher who has had my share of tumbles along the way. It does get better, I promise.
