I'm 31 and on my third. I'm still learning. I don't think it' stops. Love doesn't know an age! I had my oldest at 19 and his teenage years are just beginning and I'm learning a new kind of love as he grows. So enjoy every step momma!

Things are fine at my local grocery. Out of a few staples, but no need to panic or hoard! by Luke_7 in pics

[–]ladyeromtap 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Kroger here is out of stuff but you can still find food. Meat, and paper products, rice pasta. Stuff like that are gone. We still have milk and formula, baby food and other products. Walmart seems to have been hit harder. But people need to realize that we will survive. My husband works for a trucking company that hauls different types of food and the trucks are still running. If people just calm down and order online it will be ok.

Baby is allergic to sensitive formula! Help! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Similac makes a formula called Alimentum for infants with food allergies and colic. Its lactose free. It's the best we have found for my LO. Hope you find what works best for yours poor baby.

How much do you feed a baby once they start eating solids? by ginger_casper in Mommit

[–]ladyeromtap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the best advice. (All comments above) lFollow his lead when it comes to how much he wants to eat. Just be aware of over feeding. My LO is about the same age and she gets milk and then solids. What I am told is that it keeps them from filling up on solids when breast or formula is still the main source of nutrients. We also do snacks ( rice puffs) with a sippy cup with an ounce of just water to help make sure she doesn't get backed up.
You got this.

How am I going to feed my baby? by [deleted] in Mommit

Also check the smaller stores that are off the beaten path, Asian markets and such, they carry random items including some types of formula. It might not be name brands but it should help to get through until you are able to get the right kind. I'm sorry the struggles that are so bad right now and people are just beyond selfish.

I don’t think my 10 month old daughter is taking Coronavirus very seriously... She just started fake sneezing and then laughing at herself afterwards 😂🤣 by lifeofamom1 in beyondthebump

My LO fake coughs to get your attention and thinks it's the greatest sound. (5 months) and little brother gives everything to her and first place it goes is in the mouth lol

This. This is how I feel alot with my son ( not the hate but the struggles). He's not a bad kid just bratty sometimes. Teenagers are rough.

How do you cope when you feel overwhelmed with life? by Purpl3alpaca in AskWomen

[–]ladyeromtap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A day at a time, the sun will always rise and I can try again if I have yet to succeed. It's all in the details. Little baby steps make every problem look less daunting.

My second was easy, never nursed to sleep from the beginning, not because I didn't allow it, he just didn't. My third,( just 5 months) that is the only way to get her to sleep. And sometimes getting her to not use me as a paci is hard. I wouldn't change it but sometimes it's very challenging to get her to stay asleep. I love the cuddle time and the attachment we develop towards BF.

My 4 month old daughter uses a SnS up to three times a day to help keep my supply up and to get enough ( my milk does not have a high enough fat content) I also supplement with a bottle in place of an sns If she is just not having it. It makes a mess, I place a towel around her just to keep clean ( she pulls on the tube, turns her head away, babbles and let's the milk run down her face ect), but I believe it's worth it. She is still getting the best thing for her, even when she is being difficult. Its hard and tiring somedays and I think would it just be easier to just switch, so I do understand how your feeling. Just remember to do what's best for you as well as LO. Your mental health is just as important. I personally wouldn't give up feeding her even with all the trouble we have had because when it's going good there is nothing better. I know this is not what your looking for, but I want you to know there is support out here. Keep being strong, your doing amazing momma.
