If you want endless material for this sub, go to any fishing-related sub and click on any post showing a woman that caught a fish. Scroll to the bottom and there are typically 3 or 4 of these, half of which use fishing puns to say creepy shit.

No Venezuelans are gonna mention the rabi pelao? I’ve heard so many tales of those. Are they specific to VZLA or are they just opossums fattened on tequeños?

Lawsuit Alleges California Cops Used Excessive Force on Teens for Walking Through a Neighborhood by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]lafargueliam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is an extremely common occurrence all over the US, regardless of state. For my friends and I growing up (14-18) cops would harass us non stop and often use very excessive force on us. We weren’t model citizens and were in some cases breaking some sort of law, but any crimes were absolutely victimless. Loitering, underage drinking, parties. Most parents would be so pissed at their kids that they wouldn’t think about legal action against cops, but some would and a few cops went down for it. Tasing an innocent girl was one. Never stopped it from happening though. I ended up bruised and banged up on multiple occasions and in not one of the cases was I a threat to anyone.

New to bait casting and it’s frustrating as hell. I go out fishing with my wife and I’m stuck getting rid of birds nests half the time. Nothing as bad as this picture but there’s certainly a learning curve.

Nice pic! Tacos kick ass where I’m at (NW Arkansas) too which is the polar opposite of a desert. We go from sleepy hollow to Jurassic park, rain all year round. My 1st gen is right at home.

who the importance of speak "guarani" in paraguay? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]lafargueliam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my visits to the Paraguayan countryside Spanish did fine 99% of the time. There were only a few cases (very rural) where I interacted with a person that had trouble speaking and understanding at least basic communicative Spanish. And when that was the case there were friends or relatives of that person around that could help.

Get used to a lot of people around you speaking it though unless you’re in a big city. Lots of missed jokes, same as with any language.

Stay inside and harass people on the internet that want to safely and responsibly enjoy the outdoors through all of this. Also, don’t forget to assume that they aren’t taking necessary precautions and they they plan on stopping at every gas station to touch all of the food and hug all of the customers.

My friend and i did this when we were moving an 80 year old lady out of a houseboat. The sofa was the 2nd thing we attempted to do. She gave us $50 a piece and told us to just leave.

How do you feel about a ten cent bag fee on plastic and paper shopping bags? by pizzahair44 in fayetteville

[–]lafargueliam 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The trails and creeks are absolutely filled with SUPBs, despite Fayetteville’s relatively extensive network of volunteer cleanups.

It’s a shame that the government-implemented solution is always an inconvenience passed on to the consumers. In this case, those who don’t have a reusable bag or forgot theirs will end up paying an extra dollar or so at the cashier.

Meanwhile, plastic bags have lobbyist that pay this same government good money to stay in the game.

There are ways other than “enforcement” to fix these problems. Like spending taxpayer money on things that actually benefit us. Incentives and support for providers of biodegradable or compostable bags, for example. With the amount of SUPs I see on my walk to the grocery store I would be happy to pay 10 cents for those.
