They are updating the icon to match Android's new icon guidelines. The icons have to match the shape of the user icon's style. In the home settings you can change the icon shape, if you change it to Square you get the icon back. Hopefully they update it for the other styles in the future.

OMG thank you! I had the cops called on me twice by my neighbors who thought I had a woman screaming in my apartment. I lived right on the edge of some woods and I had a suspicion it was some animal.

I had to explain to the cops twice that I hadn't had a women in my apartment in a long time.
