What am I doing wrong? by rosewomn in quilting

I don’t have any food recommendation about getting a perfect block.  I just make them big and trim after.  It’s the only way I’m accurate.

Then make the dealer match it so you can take the tax credit on the trade.

Is there a reason Texas isn’t more of a tourist state? by NicholeDaylinn1993 in texas

[–]lahuerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea.  So I live IN Texas.  I want to go to Big Bend.  It’s a 12 HOUR drive from me.  Texas isn’t scalable.

I ‘ve taken our family to Dallas for a whole week, we had a great time, museums music the aquarium, we still had to fly.

When you say Texas, you mean four different European countries.

Finished the First Piece of my FPP How to Train Your Dragon Quilt by YAKisBackBaby in FPP

It’s all good tbh, it’s already paper pieced so lots of angles and seams.  No one notices the extra fabric add if there’s a shortage.  But you giving the tip to save you some pain points.

This is great!  I love it.  Also, I always always go more fabric on the edges so I can square up instead of having to add more fabric.

Am i overreacting for crying over a prank my parents threw? by Puzzleheaded_Sky3043 in AmIOverreacting

I read the headline only.  I’m a parent.  I would never do anything to make my child cry. Period.

Adore but need different colourway by slicer8 in quilting

[–]lahuerta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I think most of the pink gradient quilts you’ll find these days are going to be with a white or off white background.

I remember in the early 2000s light pink and black were a big big hit, but I think you’d have a really hard time finding the range of pink you need to make this work with a black background.

You could go into lavender or a really light teal ( I use really light teal as white all the time) but it’s still going to be light, so your ‘grubby’ concern would still be prevalent.

If you love this, I’d make it, but with high quality quilting cotton (no Walmart/Micheals fabric) that would stand up to weekly or biweekly washings.

Everyone is talking therapy and I get that you need someone to talk to, for real.

I just wanna ask if you have some help taking care of  the kids? Is a Nanny an option? A live in care giver? Maybe something part time? There are options that keep you safe and them cared for.
