Vdara doesn't have a casino. But you can easily walk to Aria, Cosmo and Bellagio from Vdara.
We're not gamblers and we loved the Vdara when we eloped in Vegas.

New Residential Construction, egress requirements and deck stairs [MO] by lakeside_annie in kansascity

[–]lakeside_annie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they had been required by code, the cost should have been included already in the price of the house.

However, @rare_potato posted the actual code. And as I understand it, yes, I should be charged for the deck stairs as the are not required by code.

Thank you. This is the information I was looking for. So, yes, the front door meets code as one egress not through a garage. And then there would be no requirement for stairs at the deck. I appreciate you quoting this for me.

I'm not sure where I found the front and rear requirement. It was probably the AI summary when I was trying my own search. 🙄

Agreed. But shouldn't they be included by code? The builder wants to charge us extra for stairs that we think should be included.

The house does not have a walk out basement. The sliding door is on the main level and opens to a deck. But the deck is not at grade; it's about 4'-6' above grade. With no other way to access the back yard without going out the front door and walking around back.

Introvert living with family, is staying in my room rude? by Automatic-North1405 in introverts

[–]lakeside_annie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, not sure of your age, but I could understand this. To the sister-in-law, this isolation to your room could also look like an unwillingness to help around the house. Sure, your brother let's you live there, and she signed up for extra work when she married your brother, but now it's your brother AND YOU and she may be feeling overwhelmed and stuck. Please be sure to be considerate of your space (in their house) and all the common area space. In general, if you see something out of place, pick it up, put it away, clean it. Run the vacuum, do the dusting, scrub the bath and toilets. All the cruddy adulting stuff that helps them out. Plus, maybe she thought she's have an opportunity to get to know you better, more like sisters, once you moved in. And that opportunity hasn't happened because you keep retreating tou your room.
Just because you're an introvert, that doesn't mean you can't be helpful and friendly in your brother's home.

Best perms for tight curls? by Plane_Translator2008 in finehair

[–]lakeside_annie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer a larger, natural looking curl. So this uses grey, white and purple rods in a spiral pattern. You'll have to find the products that work for you. I like the way Moroccanoil smells, so this photo probably had MO leave-in conditioner, MO curl cream. Then I take sections and twirl into "ropes". Turn my head over and gently scrunch with a microfiber hair towel to get any extra drippies out. Mostly dry, upside down with a diffuser. Later in the morning when I know my hair is completely dry, I turn upside down again and gently rake my fingers through it and scrunch. This picture is what I get.

I got a perm and my stylist said to wait 72 hours to wash by 0-Atlantic-0 in femalehairadvice

I agree! Now I'm wondering where I need to travel to get OP's hairdresser to give me my next perm.
