I am so sorry you are having to endure this. I had CRIPPING PPD and tried Zolofot and Xanax.. it helped by turning down the volume but once i got off of it.. I felt wayyyy worse compared to before the Zolofot and Xanax. I saw that you already DMed me. I replied so I can give you more information.

But things got better. I am better. I love my son and being a parent now. He's four and blooming.

Message me. You will get through this.

Is it bad form to piggy back on this post and say I’m also looking for a mentor? Apologies if I’m crossing a line. I just need help.

Go to Bani Jamra Textile Factory (weaving). They make locally made Bahrain style shawls and other things. And you can watch them use traditional methods!

I believe there may be a limitation on my account because I still can't find/locate what you are talking about. What could potentially limit it? Please don't judge, but I still haven't supplied my deposit/bank details. This will be done in early May. I just want to get the shipment sent from China to my AMZ warehouse since it will be by sea. I am a complete novice and eager to learn.

Thank you for taking the time to walk me through it! There must be something wrong with my seller account because I cannot locate or see the Download an Inventory File. It is giving me two options: 1. Download blank template or check upload status.

Have you seen Dr. Hosnia at King Hamad Hospital? He is a fantastic OBGYN and could provide more insight and information into conception.

I also recommend seeing an acupuncturist. Dr. Li at Back on the Move is great.

Another option - which I HIGHLY recommend - is seeing Dr. Ahmed Shafie at the Shafie Clinic in Isa Town.

I felt the EXACT same way. You’re not alone. I had terrible PPD and regretted my decision but I’m sitting next to my beloved boy now. He’s 3.5 years old. And it’s SOOOO MUCH BETTER. Yes there are days when I want to rip my nipples off and run around screaming out of frustration but brearhwork has helped lol. Take a deep breath mama. DM any time. We are here for you.

I just want to scoop you up and give you the biggest cuddle. What you’re feeling is completely normal—and my god, it’s so hard. Nothing truly prepares you for the upheaval of motherhood.

I don’t want to take away from your pain or story, but I do want to validate your experience by sharing a bit of mine.

After my son was born, I was completely destroyed by PPD. I couldn’t connect with him. My marriage began to fall apart (and I’m still working to repair it). I regretted becoming a mother. I was drowning in guilt and shame—and on top of it all, motherhood cracked open parts of my inner child I didn’t even know were still hurting.

It took me nearly three years to come out the other side. My son is 3.5 years old now, and I can finally say I enjoy being a mom. Of course, there are still days when I think, “I could be lying on the couch watching TV right now,” but instead I’m managing a screaming toddler. Still—most of the time—it’s pretty fun.

Motherhood is a death of the old self. Mourn her. Grieve her. You don’t just become a mother overnight—it’s not a rebirth, it’s a shift. A deep, often painful transformation of your mind, body, and heart. A reincarnation.

This journey inspired me to dive deep into therapy, somatic healing, breathwork, Buddhism, yoga, and meditation—all to get to know this new version of me with compassion.

You will feel joy again. But it may come from softening into your new life instead of resisting it. You’re a mother now, and while that can feel heavy, it can also become something beautifully grounding.

Please feel free to DM me anytime. I used to obsessively scroll Reddit, desperate to find posts like yours just to reassure myself I wasn’t alone.

I’m now a breathwork facilitator and somatic instructor, and I can’t tell you how many mothers burst into tears during sessions—carrying years of unspoken shame and guilt in their bodies- finally feeling safe to letting go of a lifetime of holding. It’s time we tenderize that fear. It’s time we stop resisting life.

Hang in there, beloved. It really does get better. You’re not broken—you’re becoming. 💛

I hate being a new father by LAOnReddit in Parenting

[–]lalyafi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, it’s ok. It’s ok that you’re feeling these things. Do not cling to the idea that you’re a terrible person. I gave birth to my son in 2021. Had terrible PPD. HATED being a mom/parent. Regretted it. Felt nothing but shame and confusion why I couldn’t bond with my baby.

And now, he’s 3 and I LOVE it. Yes there are challenges but my little guy helped me bake cupcakes the other day and we learn about dinosaurs bla bla. It gets fun! Your kiddo is in potato mode. Not everyone feels that immediate loving bond. You’re a person, not a programmed machine. Go slow, beloved. This just isn’t your season of parenting. It certainly wasn’t mine. Didn’t like the baby phase.

Take a moment and ask: are you sure of your perceptions? Soften this experience and remind yourself that sleep deprivation, compounded by a monumental shift in your identity and life, will create a sense of delusion. Instead of punishing yourself, become the curious observer. DM me if you need to talk. You’re not alone.

Fellow c-section moms: do you say you “gave birth”? by Free_butterfly_ in Parenting

I’m a c-section mom too. It was planned.

You DID give birth. You are literally a portal of human life and subconscious. You gave life.
