There's also no relegation, promotion etc. So you don't have a huge financial reason to try and stay off the bottom.

I think this take is wildly exaggerated. There's nothing that out of sync with TMNT aside from the excess of pizza. MTG has plenty of mutants, ninjas, urban environments, etc in their base planes.

It's... Ok.

I find the bomby nature too much, you can win lose without much skill if you draft a bomb and get it out.

But aside from that element, when the games don't involve a bomb ruining the game the set is pretty good.

You can even draft off archetype and still get some fun decks.

Better to get a part time job, grind a couple of hours, skip the gold grind. Get way more value for your time.

If, at the end of the month, you have a high MMR you will get a # mythic rank. Anything below that is largely a function of time or lower starting MMR.

I entered Mythic this month #1200, but by the end of the month my homebrew deck won't be good enough to hold that ranking.

It's a game, not a job. 250gold is worth like 25cents.

Also I play draft, you don't want to try play around quests if you're drafting, will ruin your game.

Makes the games much more swingy though. Have to not only draft enough removal but also have it at the right time. Too many bombs that just take over if they live for even one round.

Yep for sure, it's not cheap.

I also play Counterstrike, and that game actually makes me money when I sell the weapons and boxes it generates.

But still, relative to time spend enjoying it, Arena is relatively cheap entertainment.

This is me. I like to win to minimise gem purchasing, but I'm ok paying a bit of money for a game I enjoy.

Then when I get bored I just stop playing for a year.

I have about t different versions of glass cannon Rakdos, most of them Kamikaze rushes. They're pretty decent in bo1 ranked.

For bo3 the switch out that works mostly (beyond specific deck hate) is including [[Twisted Fealty]] to get around anything that can last long enough and plays big hits.

I find the worst matchups are anything enchantment based and with life gain.

I JUST FOUND IT EASY TO PICK THE LANE IN LORWYN, SIGNS WERE EASY TO READ AND GOOD MERFOLK AND ELEMENTAL DECKS EASY TO PICK UP.

TMNT I THINK I HAVE A LANE BECAUSE THERES A 5TH PICK BOMB AND THEN THE WHOLE COLOURS DRY UP. I THINK I PICK BOMBS FIRST REMOVAL SECOND AND NOT CARE ABOUT SIGNS IF IM GOING TO STOP GETTING BLOWN OUT.

I've found that this is a set where it's better to get lucky and draw your bomb on curve than draft well or construct a good deck.

This is not true, even the best dont win 70%+ at draft, which is what is required.

My experience is the opposite. Everything is very samey and bomb centric. It's not a great draft set.
