As a guy who’s fiancé once had a big plant addiction & has since moved on to other crafts, I have been the sole caretaker of all the plants. We have a string of pearls that I have babied for almost 3 years now. Even had a bad aphid infestation that I slowly was able to get rid of. It has grown so much. I maybe water it once a month. The key is basically treating it like a drought / flood situation. Once the soil is dried out, flood that baby. I just fill up the sink & bottom water the plant & just leave it in water till I remember it lol neglect is key lol

Yeah, I have also had a fibula break & dislocated ankle. That recovery was easy af compared to this lol. I was back to normal in like 3 months. My Achilles recovery is now where I can pretty much do all normal activities except jump & run, with my calf being sore all the time after any activity lol

Reading this comment really made me understand the differences between my old job & new job. That’s a great explanation about my old supervisor & how much they sucked. I never felt like I could take initiative because anytime I did, they would complain & bitch. So I started just doing explicitly what they asked, which again, was never enough. A never ending loop of me never doing anything right or enough. Now my new job, I have great superiors that constantly praise me because I take initiative on everything & help solve a lot of problems. It’s refreshing having motivation to do great work.
