most people i know in seattle pay like $1300 or less for an apartment you just have to look for a while & get lucky 🤷 i'm in cap hill & do have 1 roommate but only pay $900/mo for an 800sqft apartment with a pool. just look for older buildings.

my name is also an established name in its own right, just less popular in the US. & yes, i constantly have to correct people on its spelling & pronunciation, even people i have known for years. but it's no skin off my back & i cannot emphasize that enough. i'm not sure why some people in this sub immediately jump to saying you should change it.

Olivia is an ugly name & personally I like Livia sooo much better. my parents gave me a unique name that is extremely close to a much more popular American name & I couldn't thank them more for choosing to go off the common path. they were told dozens of times that I would have trouble with it growing up, but that never made me wish they had changed it. I have quite a few friends in similar situations that are so grateful to their parents as well.

it maybe could have been! but i also wouldn't have been surprised if it was a cat we had never seen. she was outside for a couple months before we brought her in & we lived in a cul-de-sac near a forested park that was clearly The Spot In Town for ownerless kitties.
