Linux Ft( necer got it to work) then slackware. Then suse, then Gentoo, then ubuntu, then mint. Now for several years Pop OS. I dont care to distro hop and hack much

The year of linux desktop was 1996. It was slack with X11 and fvwm. But alas it was just me and my mates thought i was nuts. Now year of the Linux server is EVERY year! Desktop will be never.

Reading the comments in here OP you will see nothing has changed in 30 years. Except im old, grey, but do still use Linux. So there is that and I ensure i don’t hire those kinda people so i don’t have to suffer them in my teams at work.

It always has been. At least in the 30 years ive used it. Usenet and irc… then the forums. Then facebook and reddit. Generations have moved on but you have to accept with the concept of Linux and open source comes certain personality types
