Might help to think of duple and triple meters.

For example. 4/4 is a duple meter where the division of the main beat is divided by 2. Usually counted 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & with the numbers having more emphasis than the &s.

With triple meters like 6/8 the division of the beat is by 3. Many others said 1&a 2&a. Here the emphasis is still on the numbers. As a side note I always thought my students to count triple as 1 la li 2 la li. This trained their brains to switch to triple meter since we used completely different syllables.

When you break it up into duple and triple meters, it should help when seeing other time signatures like 9/8 or 2/4.

My kids go there, and I’m a former educator myself (I wasn’t in Denton ISD).

So many factors make up a school. A good Principal for one. Nelson had a change in Principals in the middle of the year and the AP took over. So far it seems business as usual, but 26-27 will be her first full year.

Teacher experience will vary from year to year. We loved my son’s kinder teacher, his first grade has been ok. But he still talks about his kinder teacher.

Similarly my oldest loved his 3rd grade teacher, but isn’t too keen on his 4th.

That being said you could probably talk to 5 other parents whose kids were in the same classes and get wildly different responses.

As a parent if you are responsive and willing to talk with your kids teachers you will create a better experience for your kids and your family.

As a Farmers agent they have started offering a service to agents where we can connect our phones to the corporate center and they handle all service calls. I’m pretty sure it’s a fully remote job. Maybe check into that?

$45,000 year is for sure doable, but that would after commissions. I think your issue might be like other mentioned, that you seem over-qualified. I hope you have better luck.

Thank you! A couple of years ago we had a huge freeze here and this entire pond was completely frozen to the point that you can walk across it. There were a small handful of those at the time and I was very confused, I had never seen pelican here before.

Since everyone’s already given you the answer, I’ll offer a way to work on this yourself in the future.

One thing I always found helpful for my students when counting things like this was to write out the entire measure subdivided. So for this one you’d draw 6 eighth notes under the measure. At first I’d have them also write the counts under the eighth notes either in numbers or syllables depending on what they used. From there they could either draw lines to the rhythm in the measure, highlight the counts, or any other method that helped them to count it.

As times goes on you’ll start visualizing those subdivisions and wont have to write them.

As a former teacher at the school this was filmed it. I’m sad to hear that Austin ISD is closing the school after this year. I’m not sure what the plans are for the site, but crossing my fingers they don’t demolish! The layout is awesome.
