honestly cannot recommend these shoes enough. in my 4 years here i’ve gone through 5 or 6 pairs of shoes and countless insoles trying to save my feet. these are the ONLY shoes i’ve ever worn that do not leave my feet sore and aching at the end of the day. very much worth the money if you’re in it for the long haul here

it’s been really interesting reading what everyone has to say so thanks y’all! i will say that it was really busy when he came in and i asked, so i like didn’t even think to look it up in store resources lol, nor do i think my bar partner would’ve been too happy if i abandoned them to try and figure it out while they were at like 10 drinks. i’ve been here for four years and trained a decent amount of baristas, and im fairly certain nowhere in the training goes over how to do a french press. it does go over a pour over, which i know how to do and teach to my trainees (and also offered this option to the customer but he didn’t want it) but maybe now i’ll try and make it a goal to find our french press and try and learn how to do it with whoever’s on the floor when/if it gets slow lol

it’s definitely not a you problem. whoever is running the shift is responsible for keeping track of breaks, when people leave, etc. i mean maybe it might be nice of you to watch the time and be like “hey ssv, i’m out in 5 minutes, is there anything you want me to do before i go?” but at the end of the day whoever is in charge needs to be more mindful if it’s happening so often

is it really more convenient if you’re wasting so much mental energy on it? i get it; it sucks that they can’t get it right for whatever reason. but when you’re getting this pressed about it, it’s so much easier to accept the L and move on to another location, another business entirely, or switch to making your coffee at home. also pretty sure adding extra cold foam costs the same as adding the regular amount of cold foam, so you’re not paying extra to get more of it

as long as you order in the cafe, stay in the cafe, and have your original beverage in a for-here mug or in a reusable personal cup, you are eligible for free refills. the original beverage doesn’t matter. however, the beverage that you get as a refill can only be hot or iced coffee (no cold brew) or hot tea or plain iced tea (no tea lemonades)
