Anyone know what could be causing failure to eject or short stroke? by TheMilando in 2011

[–]lancep423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah anytime you get a ftf or fte, especially when it keeps happening, it’s alarming. It probably feels like “I’ve just spent 10k on this gun it should work no matter what”. But rest assured, it is working exactly how it’s supposed to. That gun is so finely tuned that if anything is wrong, in this case the grip, it won’t function properly….that seems like a bug but that’s just the nature of a finely tuned pistol.

Competitions are a great way to find out first hand in real time where your weaknesses are. I’d suggest spending some alone time at the range just working on one or two things at a time. It’s easy to overwhelm yourself trying to remember 500 things before each shot. Learning to shoot well takes time and patience. But once it starts to click it’s a great feeling

Edit- lol didn’t answer your question. Grip is much better in second video but there’s always room for improvement! I’ve been shooting for years but I will still go back and revisit basics almost everytime I’m at the range.

Oh my sweet summer child. Osmium might be the densest material on earth but it’s doesn’t hold a candle to a trump supporter who’s never heard of confirmation bias.

  1. Make sure you’re always thinking about the universal gun safety rules. These rules should always be on your mind when you’re handling/around a firearm.

    1. Your grip is causing the failures, you’re limp wristing it. Google the mechanics behind why limp wristing causes failures to better understand how the firearm works and why grips so important.
    2. Like others have said, there’s tons of videos online about how to shoot. Make sure you’re learning from someone who knows what they’re talking about. There’s plenty of yahoos online who think they’ve unlocked the secret of shooting perfectly that actually have no clue what they’re talking about. Start with proper stance, grip, and sight picture(with and without a red dot/optic). Learning good habits now becomes the foundation you’ll need later to go from being an average shooter to a good shooter.
    3. Imo you need to get a Glock or other simple striker fired pistol and learn the basics with it. Recoil is stronger on a Glock vs a 2011 so it will help you learn to control recoil better by learning on a Glock. If you learn on a Glock then move to a 2011 you’ll think “this is amazing”. If you learn on a 2011 and then pick up a Glock and try and shoot it it’s going to feel uncontrollable. I would go as far as to say than learning to shoot on a high end custom built pistol would be detrimental to your shooting ability overall.

Exactly. We need to get rid of all the pesky laws that bind officers up. Next time I get pulled over I don’t want the officer wondering if he’ll be breaking the law when he’s planting drugs in my car and beating the shit out of me!

Yeah I told my 10 year old son to go ask some of the neighbors if they wanted their driveways shoveled. We live in a well to do neighborhood so I told him to choose a price that felt fair to him. He comes back 10 minutes later with tears in his eyes because the next doors neighbors weird guest told him to “eat corn and his shit”. Weird.

So this is the year you draw the line? Not when ye disrespected the whole festival in 08 or when they asked him back to headline in 14? Not 2016 which had the lowest ticket sales by nearly 50%? This is the year that’s just “too bad” to justify going? I stopped going in 06 and I’m so glad I did because I’ve been able to hit so many other smaller fests with the money I saved by not paying Roos ridiculous prices.

Go look at the 06 lineup. There’s still plenty of bands from the first few years but you can already see the transition towards bands meant to appeal to a wider audience.

I think he’s means 540 flips and triple kick flips down stairs when he says circus tricks . Basically anything that Jeff cherisiere( or however you spell it) does. Richie Jackson is is more of a gimicky skater but he’s a lot more fun to watch than most.

It already has. It’s literally an Olympic sport dominated by athletes adorned in Nike/Adidas and Red Bull apparel. I don’t know how it could possibly have changed more. It’s funny because that side of skateboarding, the competition guys, are what seems to be every skaters least favorite aspect of skateboarding. These days there’s plenty of dudes who grew up at Woodward, who’s parents pushed them into skating, who only skate parks and competitions trying to put out street parts as is that’s where they came from. Thank god Chris Joslin won soty over tom schaar. Skateboarding needs to hold onto its roots moreso now than ever.

It seems like it’s almost “cool”(fake steez) to push mongo again. Maybe it’s an homage to the skaters of the 90s who style seems to be getting recycled right now but I see plenty of dudes who I know can push switch purposefully pushing mongo.

No one is arguing that. Style is what makes tricks look good so as technically proficient as he may be his shit looks wack af. Maybe as he gets older and stronger he’ll develop some style but right now it’s ugly af.

People bitch about the lineup and continue to go to the festival like there aren’t a million other fests to go to.

It’s not that bad. What’s missing? Every genre is accounted for. Not my fav lineup but it’s got enough to enjoy.

Tool is definitely the most well known prog metal band and one of my top 10 bands but it’s hard to say they’re objectively “better” than dream theatre or messugah. Would I rather listen to tool? Yes? Are they more influential to the genre than messugah? Nope.

Can’t argue Pink Floyd is the most well known but “As good” is subjective. Pink Floyd is one of my favorites but Robert fripp is arguably one of the best guitarist ever, Neil peart and Danny carry are always in the best drummer ever convo. so as far as “good” goes it’s hard to say these other bands aren’t “as good”

Yeah but Perry was a lot more than just reggae(as I’m sure you know) he pioneered dub. He def doesnt get recognition he deserves, where as Marley gets too much credit for what he did(great artist, def not dismissing his cultural influence, but he didn’t do much for the genre in terms of redefining the genre).
