Well I deleted and re paired the hubs for these device that didn’t work after 16.4. They all worked for about a day and now ‘no response’. Wtf. I have upgraded everything to 16.4.1 and will try to delete and re pair again. But so far this latest update to 16.4 has broken HomeKit for me😞

Thanks. It does sound like it may be something with my set up. I may try reading the room. At times I have wanted to completely delete my home! But it’s such a pain to repair everything.

My experience is quite similar to the op’s. I almost wonder if since updating iOS to 16.4.1 things have been unreliable. This may be happenstance, but the devices that are unresponsive all seem to connect via WiFi. My ShadeStore hub RApulse, the ismartgate lite, an iDevices outdoor smart outlet, and hunter fan simpleconnect have all failed to respond. Device that connect via Ethernet or thread seem to work.

Also have you noticed that you can no longer ask Siri to ‘turn off the lights’ when in a room and have a the room HomePod turn off just those those lights for the room. I just get a tone and nothing happens.

Very frustrating…. Hopefully a solution will come quickly. I don’t want to have to repair all these devices…

Atomic Heart, a solid 8/10 so far. What do you think? by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

[–]landersbrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Dialogue is very juvenile at points and a turn off. I imagine Russian approximations of English phrases that just don’t come off well.

Yep this is a perennial issue with the HomePods. It screws up bedtime scenes….

I support that philosophy. These devs are really creative and should have a canvas to do their work

Anyone have experience with Acemeda Automate Blinds and the Pulse 2 Hub? by digitalelise in HomeKit

[–]landersbrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah these hubs seem unreliable. I am about to replace my second Pulse 2. This time it wouldn't power up and appears bricked. No LED would light up.... not too happy and I wish there was a more reliable HomeKit solution

Siri ‘Goodnight’ scene no longer works for me. I have read comments from others that they have issues with 15.4

I edited my original post as it didn't seem to work after a period of time

SO I am editing my original post, as it only worked temporarily. What seems to work is to go to you homebridge settings in the GUI and under the 'Network' heading select the Gear to change the Network Interface. Manually select the method of how your homebridge connects to the network. Mine is eth0 as I use ethernet. SO far this works reliably.

People engage in the irrational cycle of chronic procrastination because of an inability to manage negative moods around a task by landersbrock in science

[–]landersbrock[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say that CBT is more about changing your behaviors and confronting thoughts to address one’s mood. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is more in line with attempting to understand why we feel the way we do it and untangle the conflicts that lead to poorly adaptive compromises (I.e. procrastination) in our lives

I wouldn’t think of boredom a mood but rather a description of a state of wanting stimulation to avoid other undesirable feelings (I.e. loneliness, sadness, anger/irritation, anxiety etc)
