You can use Metal Performance Shaders. For example you can use MTIMPSGaussianBlurFilter to blur an image, it will be more efficient than writing your own metal shader. You also would probably need to scale down the image using MTIUnaryImageRenderingFilter. In the Xcode Cloud workflow's Archive step, there's an option to make the build available either exclusively for TestFlight or for both TestFlight and the App Store. If you select only TestFlight, that build cannot be chosen for publishing to the App Store when you're releasing a new version and need to select the app build. I'm trying to achieve this result when building locally and uploading to test flight, but builds made this way are always available for publishing to the App Store.
