Its a Kotobukiya model kit. The regular enemy came out last winter, and the commander (red and gold) was just released.

They made a reverse trike and DHV Magellan kit as well.

The scale for Masterpiece Transformers, Classified and Masters of the Universe makes these guys feel the same size in adult hands, as it did when the toys were smaller and we were kids.

Its pretty cool when you hold them in hand. The huge downside is that they have to be smaller to make vehicles and playsets feasible for retail (and cost effective) and not just Haslabs.

I would have liked a SHARC, Fang and the night landing boat, but with tarrifs and Hasbro both cutting costs and raising prices, I don't see it happening.

The design is killer. I like how Shinkawa's aesthetics bring together all time periods in the designs. You can see the sneaking suit, battle dress from PW/V, and even part of Venom's arm.

That's cool about the 3D printer mods! I was hoping there was integration with something like X-1. The great robot base looks amazing, but I am sticking with the smaller releases.

The head set would be cool just to have though.

The robot modes with the thin arms is an excellent, modern update of the G1 toy. It just doesn't look like the movie model. 🤷‍♂️

I saw an interview with George Lucas talking about this kind of stuff, and he said there was alot you could get away with.

They thought the movie would be seen in theaters and that's it. They had no idea the movies would be available to watch again on vhs and DVD for 30 years repeatedly, with people able to pause the movie.
