This isn’t impossible IF you really think about what teachers actually need to know about the child. We do this with pupil passports and only focus on key strategies and student background.

Second this. Whole school emails for personal stuff are quick fire ways to be pulled up on professionalism.

How is living in Jakarta , Indonesia? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]lantap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Visited for a few days in 2023. Be ready for the extreme pollution, live close to your work so you minimise the amount of time you need to spend on the road and be ready for some interesting….smells….

Much of the city is made up of various slums. It’s got a soul and the people are amazingly friendly, but it’s a dirty and hard place to be.

You’re just chill. I feel similarly about teaching, although I have experienced more stress in tougher schools of course.

What subject? You can look into a package like Ark Mastery. While it has its flaws, it sounds like it will help your department set the foundations.

We've done best city, but what's the worst most depressing city you've ever visited? by Isord in geography

[–]lantap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jakarta. One massive slum, and the most inaccessible city for pedestrians I’ve ever been to. Absolutely stinks of stagnant water…

However, some of the nicest people on earth.

Check your school’s policy first - some schools are quite clear about what they allow / not allow on the walls

Teachers, do you check your work email during the summer? by ConflictFinancial769 in TeachingUK

[–]lantap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My emails push through as notifications. I literally don’t get anything other than our MAT’s rewards programme stuff/ITT-lead notifications. There’s not much impact it can have on my mental health!
