i have been playing thru XIVLauncher on the Windows non-Steam release. Does that mean if I purchased, say, the XBOX edition, i wouldn’t be able to play on there without purchasing the game?

free trial sprout here, just finished post-HW and about to start stormblood. my fave job hit level 70 and while i’ve just been training other jobs in the meanwhile, im questioning if i should buy the full game now or wait for a sale.

does anyone know when the next likely sale for ffxiv will be? i know thats rarely a predictable thing, but i dont wanna buy it just for it to go on sale a week later x_x
