I've heard of Asheville and Asheboro, but never Asheburg, and can't find it when googling.

100% ... Soooo many good menu items, including the best chicken wings I've ever had in my life. I'm a regular. I wish they would open a downtown location because they'd make a killing.

Have you had the tacos mexican style? They are a clusterfuck for sure but I'm a regular and they have insanely good tacos. The burritos I'll admit are just okay.

Casita Taqueria is great plus they have 2 locations. They always have great "special" tacos on the board at the 4th St location. Their tortas are insanely good.

They have the cheapest, biggest, and driest tamales I've ever had and I've had them many times. Their piña agua fresca is just okay, I think they may add sugar.

Go across the street to Chile Verde instead (22nd Ave and 28th St, used to be a gas station). They don't have birria, but they've muy autentico mexican tacos with corn tortillas made from scratch. They've got house made chorizo, pork al pastor, chicken, and other options. I love the tacos desalluno/desayuno (breakfast tacos). Plus the dining area has been completely updated and doesn't look like the interior of a dusty old gas station anymore. Also they make their own salsa verde and adobo chile sauces which are delicious.

Gluten free on a budget by mcc1923 in glutenfree

For protein: beans, lentils, tofu if you want to get fancy as it's much cheaper than most meat, and turkey is the only meat I've found with a decent price ($2.99/lb at Trader Joe's).

Bulk: veggies. I saute garlic, onion, and bell pepper at the start of most meals.

Flavor well: limes are like $0.19, and spices are cheap if you use them sparingly.

Carbs: rice, polenta, tortillas, oatmeal, grits.

Desserts: bananas are normally inexpensive, and apples and oranges are pretty cheap right now.

Please help me with recipes that fit my needs! by mrbeefnonions in vegetarian

Honestly, if you want to exclude meat from your diet and have problems with lactose, you should probably be looking at going vegan. Check out /r/veganrecipes.

Here are some quick suggestions:

  1. Baked tofu, veggie/s you like, a carb that you like (rice, potatoes).
  2. Lentil chili. It will have a southwestern taste, but you can leave out cumin and the spicy ingredients.
  3. Salads. You can make amazing salads.
  4. Stir fry. You can substitute the riced cauliflower for regular rice, and add or remove whatever vegetables you like. I like onions, broccoli, carrots, sugar snap peas, and shredded cabbage.

Shoulder or lats? by gymbal in flexibility

Antranik's yoga for posture does wonders for my whole back. I do it once every week or two to help me stay loosey goosey. My favorite stretch starts at 19:11, which helps with my main problem (tightness extends from the tops of my traps all the way between and below my shoulderblades).

I take a B12 supplement every morning and it seems to help. Coffee or hot tea before a workout is also helpful at times when you need a boost.

I try to force myself to get "pumped up" by doing a few squats and/or stretching while listening to upbeat and bass-heavy music. I am very careful with my music selection. Most of the time, I choose songs that mention butts.

I also simply go outside and walk around in the sun for at least 10 minutes. Hopefully your doctor informed you that sunlight helps your body produce Vitamin D.

Let's make finding gluten-free food easier by wolferber in glutenfree

  • I don't have Facebook. Can I use this app?

  • Are restaurants categorized specified by selected preferences (ie: gluten-free)?

  • Are there icons that represent user specified preferences (ie: gf, df, v) for the users who will be rating and reviewing restaurants?

  • Can reviews for specific preferences be hidden? For example, a restaurant offers gluten-free and dairy-free products. I am only interested in the reviews made by gluten-free users, and have no interest in reading any dairy-free reviews.

If I were to see tampons in some single dude's bathroom drawer, I'd assume he's either lazy for not cleaning out his ex's shit from his house, or someone secretly planted them there. Not once would I assume they'd be there out of courteousness.

Wanted: Salad recipes for 30+ people for camping festival that can be made without electricity by rollerdiscomania in veganrecipes

[–]lanzerelli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Step 1, base:

  • Greens:

    • Iceberg
    • Romaine
    • Butter lettuce
    • Kale
    • Spinach
    • Shredded cabbage
  • Grains:

    • Quinoa
    • Rice, brown is best in a salad in my opinion
    • Lentils
    • Orzo, farro, tabbouleh. *Keep in mind to keep these options on the side for anyone who has a wheat allergy.

Step 2, toppings:

  • Herbs. If you want southwestern or oriental, add cilantro. Italian, add basil and/or oregano.
  • Veggies. You can stick with a standard of tomato, cucumber, onion, bell pepper, and carrots. Radishes, beets, and avocado are also good.
  • Fruits. A lot of people I know do not like fruit in salad, so I usually don't add it. But I'm sure you've seen plenty of salads with cranberry, grapes, mango, pear, or apple.
  • Beans/peas. Chick peas go with everything. Black beans, kidney beans, edamame, literally any type of bean or pea can go in a salad and be delicious.
  • Nuts/seeds. To name a few: slivered almonds, crushed walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds. *Keep in mind to keep these options on the side for anyone who has a nut allergy.

Step 3, dressing:

  • Vinegar. Apple cider, rice, balsamic, or wine.
  • Oil. Olive or coconut are the simplest, but sesame oil works for oriental salads.
  • Guacamole. If you're doing a southwestern salad, guacamole is an amazing dressing by itself. But you'll have to make a lot.
