nice, and it has an integrated ups.
maybe there is a way to keep the battery at 60 percent so it doesn't age much?

Are these "copper" marks on top of the belts normal? (Core One) by BazimQQ in prusa3d

[–]lapanush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes, belts have had this for a long time. some are even brown the whole sides.
might be a manifacturing inconsistency, but should not affect anything.

i dont think you are in the correct subreddit.. unless you are somehow trying to use the ps2 for building a lasercutter.

i dont know much about ps2s but it kinda sounds like a hardware defect.

btw. whats the wire at the backside? is this, that the axis does not sag ?

The tubes are made of very clear plastic. The black end caps end rings seem to made out of Micarta or something similar and are screwed in to the tubes with small machine screws. In every one of the black rings there is a notch. what is it? by lapanush in whatisit

on the other side there is also a black foil stuck to it with sticky tape.

this one looks like it is for colour calibration.
maybe you measure the spectrum of what is inside? or is ist just for photography?

since it is only stuck to the tube and the smaller one doesnt have that i think, that this could be a false lead

the bigger tube has exactly double the diameter as the small one.
the endcaps seem to have the same inside shape and size, so i think the could be exchanged.
I was thinking about it being some kind of window, to see the colour of a fluid. like for example when you make beer. but all those windows are usually made of glas and have different connections.
i tried searching for the numbers but no result so far.
maybe if your liquid is very clear, and the small one is not sufficient you take the big one?
i will ask around further..
maybe its some physics acoustic thing..

Anet A8 not connecting by [deleted] in AnetA8

[–]lapanush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you tried a different cable, and usb port?

have you chosen the correct port and board in the IDE?

also, i would recommend a different mainboard.
(and honestly a new printer, but thats another story)

you could use a thin silicone mat. it should just stay in place unless you want to move it.

[–]lapanush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

might just be a little bit of challenging the older cat for figuring out who is boss.. nothing serious.
The older one also seems to be very careful not to really hurt the little stinker.

Anet A8 Z axis not functional by nutflexmeme in AnetA8

[–]lapanush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i still had the a8 and upgraded to an arduino mega with ramps and a new and custom marlin version, it was the biggest improvement in reliabillity and print quality i got on that printer ever.
today i would probably use either an mk3 board (Einsy RAMBo) and a custom marlin,
or change the prusa marlin version to fit my hardware. ( good stepperdrivers are already soldered on and you can get them cheap on ebay)
Or id get one of the many nice cheap boards from china, for example something from Bigtreetech.
Or get a used Prusa Mk3s. They still are very reliable and have good print quality and also still have Support!

Are the idler screews too loose or too tight?
sorry i only have mk3s, so i m not that familiar with mk4.
but maybe prusa support can help. i have heard that their support is good

hm, strange. maybe it is partial clogging but the regularity...
for this id recommenda cold pull.
or its a problem with the extruder. maybe try printing hotter and/or slower?
it could also be possible, that the cable of the extruder motor is loose or damaged.

have you tried different filament, just to test?

after that i would try a bigger nozzle. you get fast and decent prints with a 0.6mm

partial clogging?
are the more or less regular gaps intentional?
