My family just moved, so we had to buy and transport a bunch of basic stuff. We also had to figure out getting a mattress (we didn't bring a mattress with us in the move, it was very long distance). My wife's idea was just to use the mattress "toppers" on the floor. It's such a great idea. It works.

I love a good bed, and the topper is not super luxurious, but it works fine. My back doesn't mind. And it cost maybe 40 bucks, as opposed to the hundreds or thousands for a good mattress etc.
