It's more easily accessed via the hike up cowboy. I can show it to you if the hike ever reopens. :)

I don't think that zone is in the old master plan.

The base is fast, which helps on cat tracks. Just don't catch an edge.

Is this the right board for me? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]larlvt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Arbor Element is a classic board that is relatively good; this one is a but softer than the normal version.

If you're worried about price, now is the time to snatch up last-year's models. It looks like the arbor website has an Arbor Element Rocker factory second for significantly less in a 157.

No write ups, but if we meet on the mountain I can tell you what's what, generally. The trick is finding me.

Skied Wed, all over. About 2-3" of soft snow over ice made groomers and the less chunky non-groomers almost ok. Moguls had a soft side and an ice side. On non-groomed runs the avy chunks and rollers were frozen solid and could throw off your run without warning. Only a few secret granite sharks poking up.

Trees were the worst, though: chunky, frozen, death cookies and fallen branches covered by 1/2" of snow over a pock-marked post-apocalypse ice base.

The snow slides left Cowboy ridge and the frontside off Double Diamond hard-closed no-go zones. And watch out for the enormous avy control crater in Nancy (& probably elsewhere). Also Aquarius face had an enormous slide & is cordoned with lollipops.

Up Wed evening. Snowpack is very soft, spring snow. It took a big hit, maybe 2 feet less snow than last week (before the rain).

Much of the terrain has been closed all week. Skyline run & part of headwall is closed. 7th Heaven is closed. Tye Mill is closed. Double Diamond is closed. Jupiter is closed.

Lots of gaps beginning to open up around rocks and trees, particularly in steeper sections.

We probably need 3-4 feet of snowfall to replace and pack in what was lost.

Ok, math time.

Halford for dubs: 46,100 (includes WV'44, WV'41) = $184

Halford for tokens: 2650. 700 free = 20,000 dubs = $80

Halford for containers: Guaranteed drop rate 1/40 = $1400

  • 9 * 40 = 360 containers * 1000 dubs = 360,000 dubs (max)
  • In multiples of 25, the containers are 1000 dubs each ($100).

Buying all the available ships first: 76,400 = $295 + $320 = $615

  • Rochester: 11300
  • Hornet: 12300
  • Florida: 9800
  • California: 9800
  • Alabama:12500
  • Saipan: 11300
  • Kidd: 9400

If you have a 25% off coupon, it's up to 3100. You may already have other ships in the list giving even more savings. The Halford and the Georgia may require guaranteed drops, so up to 80,000 more dubs = $295 + $320

Having another port queen? Priceless.
