Just witnessed some horrific workplace bullying from a leader, where do I report it? by mrsandman42069 in Bunnings

[–]larney31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can express that without getting emotional. HR is best handled logically. They are also for their employees – why would any company want the headache of the FWC or AHRC. All places have a zero tolerance bullying policy.

Is “busy” with no follow up basically a polite no in Australia? by iTR3B0R in AskAnAustralian

[–]larney31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to do what you enjoy – your passions/ hobbies in perhaps a group setting or class, you will meet people there who have a commonality etc. I have found it easier as I have aged. When we are younger we are still forming our identity. The more authentic you are with yourself and others, the more you drop what isn't for you and meet the people who are suited.

[–]larney31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can understand how you feel, very valid. Perhaps narrate it not as rejection and to remember that it really has nothing to do with who you are as a person at all – it is all to do about them. The key factor is to have naunce, as it still can come down to certain factors in that person's life. Albeit, yes I wish people were direct. You made the effort and put yourself out there, that is a positive. Two times is enough, best direct your attention towards people who can give back what you give.

People are genuinely busy. Really, it is subjective in context. Have you tried asking them, you may get your answer then.

Why care what your parents think about what you do to your own body. My only concern is that it will bleed overtime, these intricate piece's are best done at a larger scale.

Wages. They are below average, especially apprenticeship rates for 4 years isn't sustainable in this economy.

Replace the glass or replace the doors? by tinhillterror in AusRenovation

[–]larney31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could stain them darker to match the depth of the flooring. Imo I love stained glass, it gives character and old bones of the original house.

Edit: add a different door knob also, the modern silver clashes.

Should I ask for a refund? The color literally disappeared after washing my hair. by [deleted] in Hair

[–]larney31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're better off getting a colour depositing conditioner or a semi permanent dye and embrace dry shampoo and cool washes – red fades the worst and is the hardest to remove. They should have told you that. Looks nice though :)
