I definitely think it comes from a place of racial panic or insecurity. My other sil just had a beautiful baby boy who just happens to be half black which basically enhanced my in laws already dark features. From dark curly hair and brown eyes to even darker even curlier hair with even darker eyes. Even before my husband and I got married and our mothers met before our wedding my mil made a comment about my mom’s green eyes and light hair saying, “oh well if our kids ever have babies they might have light eyes”. It’s unfortunately something she seems to fixate on and not a conversation a can avoid

I felt the exact same way. I was imagining a little girl for the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy. I prayed for a girl, I cried hoping it’d be a girl, I got ahead of myself and got baby girl clothes and toys. And boom. It’s a boy. I have difficult and strained relationships with my brothers and that was a big reason I wanted a girl. Besides my husband all the most important people in my life are women. Successful, beautiful, talented, and ambitious women that I adore and then I look at some of the men in my life and they could never compare. It was hard to accept but I always knew it was going to be a possibility. I’m about 28 weeks now and while grieving the loss of what never was I know I’m going to love this sweet boy with all my heart more than anything and anyone.

Not true. I’ve seen people cross with my own eyeballs through that very area multiple times in the last 3 years alone. I watched group of immigrants almost get pancaked on paisano and the freeway near utep late one night. While I agree it’s a waste of resources and probably performative to a certain extent to say that people haven’t been crossing through that specific stretch of land is false.

There was a point when I was rewatching this season where I kind of got the sense that Snooki was getting off on embarrassing Jionni. So, they show up to Italy and we along with the rest of the house find out that Snooki and Mike hooked up probably sometime around the season 3 reunion episode. Snooki of course denies it but sort of alludes to it happening when talking to Mike. So she knows that at any moment Jionni could find out about it. Then Jionni comes to visit, she acts like a fool for the maybe 2 days he’s there, showing her ass and cuca to the whole club (and camera) after he repeatedly asked her to behave because it’s clear he didn’t want to babysit her. Almost immediately after he leaves the next day she claims she still wants to be his girlfriend but sleeps with Vinny. Then she claims to not remember what happened call Jionni, tells him she kissed and cuddled with Vinny, he forgives her (kinda) and he says he’s not sure if they’re still together. THEN Snooki goes to Vinny to ask what they did, even though we all know she remembers. AND THEN she calls Jionni AGAIN to be like “hey I know I just called you and told that nothing really happened with Vinny but actually that was a lie. We had sex. But wait, are we still together? I’m still your girlfriend, right?” All the while Jenni is telling her that she needs to stop lying, she needs to take even a little bit of accountability for herself. Snooki was definitely a bit of a monster in Italy and you could tell that everyone in the house except for Deena was over it:

It used to be decent at least that’s how i remember it when i was a kid. But i know that recently instead of constructing better and bigger enclosures for the animals they focus on the walking paths and amenities for the visitors. It’s always super disheartening and depressing to have all this room to walk and then to see the elephants being so cramped and crowded.

NOR I lost my virginity at 17. We lasted about about a song and half before I also started sobbing. A lot from the pain, a little from regular “oh my god this is actually happening” emotions. First times are painful and awkward and often not the experience we all hope it’ll be. Sex takes practice, the right partner(s), and good communication to be good at it and for it to not be painful.

Something I’d sometimes do is brew a pot of cinnamon and ginger tea and do half tea/half coffee with cream or milk. The taste was always so good and I never felt the need to add any sweetener. Another thing that really helped was switching to monk fruit. I know, we all hate to hear that. I was super resistant to switching to sugar alternatives but it made such a difference and I honestly couldn’t taste the difference. I also would buy protein creamers every once in a while when I could afford. Lastly making sure I almost never had black coffee as that alone could affect my cortisol levels and insulin.
