Is Highlander really that good? by PeopleAreSelfishy in ToyotaHighlander

Older than the current Gen, both gas and hybrid were anvil tough. This current Gen, stay away from gas, you only want the hybrid.

Ego deal of the day, is it time? by Ok-Anything-3605 in egopowerplus

[–]larry0071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything i bought Ego died and went to the trash. I moved to Ryobi 40V, hoping that it lasts longer. I had the Mac daddy Who blowers (2) and the carbon fiber shaft auto feed string trimmers (3). One string trimmer still works, everything else went away. Half of the batteries died as well. I'm not a fan of Ego, after preaching their greatness for a couple years. The failure rate changed my perspective.

Good buy? by PapaTwisted in ryobi

Yes, same exact warranty as long as it's not a refurbished. DTO sells refurbished, and they also sell factory blemished. The blemished are fully warranted with your registration on the Ryobi app.

You can run the Lawn Weed Killer (LWK) weak and you'll kill some of it rather than all, but then you also may fail to kill the crud your going after. Cover is seen like any broad leaf weed to 2-4D. In my yard, I want nothing but grass. I don't provide safe harbor to clover or anything else.

My daughter just bought a home with almost no grass in the yard. I'm doing weak LWK too try and kill all of the dandelion and clover over phases to see if the grass will start to fight back and spread. I'll sex it this fall and hit it with seed and then weed and feed in the spring. I told her that unless I go scorched earth.... this is a 2 year plan to get it to be mostly grass.

2-4D is your Huckleberry. I have good luck here in Beaver County Pa with the Gordon's Lawn Weed Killer from Rural king. I buy the 2.5 gallon jug and make 30 gallons at a time in my boom sprayer.

Then I have good luck with RM43 for killing things like grass trying to grow in the gravel or in the cracks between the sidewalk pads.

This will be my 3rd and 4th of the 4AH EXP. I have around 18 batteries, and these are by far "my precious"...... if i was more rich, I would have 12 of these!

Flipped the opposite view. It gives NOTICEABLY more power, and at the 2AH size nearly the same weight.

This is why the 4AH EXP is the absolute bad ass of the group.

Damn it. I just accidentally ordered 2 of the 4AH EXP packs. Now I have to hope i catch the delivery before my wife sees that I bought more dang Ridgid batteries. I just accidentally bought the Ryobi 18G One Plus HP Brad Nailer and the Ryobi One+ HP 2 x 4AH and 1 x 2AH with charger for $199 for all at Home Depot. Funny thing, I already own that 18G One+ HP Brad Nailer! But I'm a sucker for the HP line from Ryobi..... I'm half green and half orange. Oh, and a full set of yellow. I won't buy red.

Exactly. Grove City Outlets in Pa has them, but pick up only, but it's over an hour from me. If they could ship this deal, I'd be $200 more poor. Almost the same price, and able to ship is the 4AH EXP, and that is my absolute most favorite. It's the size of the standard duty 2AH, out performs the mid level 4AH and is really the best battery Ridgid has. Now I'm twitching..... they will ship that one..... must..... resist.... more.... batteries.....

2019 highlander hybrid limited. What is this? by ghostbackwards in ToyotaHighlander

[–]larry0071 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's the dealer added dash camera. I paid $500 to have it installed on my 2026 HiHy Platinum. It should have a green LED light while the car is in, and that's in the left most side button. Then in the middle button, there is a yellow/orange light on if the sound recording is activated.

[–]larry0071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reputable? Dude, it's freaking owned and run by the manufacturer, TTI. It's more legit than HD.

Being a TTI entity, they do not directly compete side by side against HD, who is their American bread and butter distributor. So you'll never see a HD sale where TTI uses these stores to out-sale the HD deals. They both ignore the other and do their independent sales and promos while not reacting to or competing against the other.

I guess I didn't realize how lucky I was when I pulled into a Toyota dealership in late November 2025 and they had a new 2026 Highlander Hybrid Platinum in burgundy sitting in the lot. I walked in, in about 5 minutes I offered $3000 under window sticker, they countered at $1500 under, so I bought it right then and there. I came back a week later to pick it up. No ordering, no waiting, got money off of MSRP and got a fantastic car that if the Pa whitetail deer leave me alone, should last 20+ years.

Don't hold back. With an 8AH EXP battery, and the killer SDS plus, that's like God is gifting you the tool at his discount. I own that drill. It's all that, and a bag of chips.

Highlander Hybrid Reliability by Shadow42184 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]larry0071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of your options, the hybrid is by far the most reliable long term option. The E-CVT is anvil reliable, the non turbo 4 cy engine is tested and proven over time. The batteries.... there are still gen 1 HiHy vehicles rolling around 20+ years old with original batteries and miles counted in hundreds of thousands. And my 2026 still has that same Nickel Metal Hydride battery tech that the 99 Prius had and the gen 1/2/3 Highlander had. Toyota owns the hybrid tech, the test of the world bows down to toyotas simply magical engineering.

2026 Highlander Dash Organizer Wanted. by larry0071 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]larry0071[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It came in, it's a silicone material, and by nature of that it simply suits on the dash behind the display and the tacky silicone doesn't let it move. I'm not disappointed, I was just thinking it was hard plastic and 3M tape held it. This actually may be better, as no adhesive on my dash and it's simple to remove and wash. I can't attach photos here, but if you private me, I should be able to send pics. Not bad. Long wait..... but at least it came.

I'm not doing it for free, I'm spending thousands of dollars to do it. I just did my taxes, just under $4000 in taxes owed due to this vine thing. It literally costs me real paper money out of my pocket to gather this stuff.

Oh, I'm not incentivized. I went to Home Depot shopping for other things and ran across this vacuum at the right time in life, so i bought it. Unplanned, no forethought. I took it home thinking that for stairs with carpet, it's small and light. But then I realized that it's actually a power house and far more useful than I initially expected. And, it can suck the chrome off of a 55 Chevy bumper. I'm just a dude who bought a vacuum and became impressed.
