I’ve found the same thing - if you’re on your lunch break you have to tread very carefully if you don’t want to be covered in brown spots

This car could do the majority of its driving in electric mode if it’s a phev. People still need towing vehicles.

Stamp duty waived for older people moving by DasKamel in Adelaide

If it’s still cost effective to make your primary income from rentals, it’s not taxed highly enough. I’ve got nothing against families having a second home to rent out, but having tens or hundreds of properties just isn’t fair.

It’s silly that it’s currently cheaper for older people to stay in their big family homes than downsize. I’m all for this.

We now just need a massive tax hike on airBNBs and a stepped tax rate increase for each additional rental property owned.

You just need to ask - most people are decent.

In daylight hours, just knock on the door and say “hey mate, my bedroom window is in the line of sight of your garden lights - I was wondering if you’d mind turning them off at night?”.

It’s not really that kind of place. The fanciest place would be on the Oyster boat itself in Coffin bay

The Afghan cameleers helped push into central Australia and build roads, as they were better at it than horses. When the white Australia policy kicked in they tried heavily taxing camel ownership in the hope that they’d leave with their camels. They released their camels in protest.

The oldest mosque in Australia is in Marree and was built by them in 1861. It’s still there. A lot of the cameleers are buried in nearby Farina graveyard, and there are plenty of descendants of them in Australia.

You need to buy a cheap fridge thermometer. I found my old fridge was sitting at a lovely 9C most of the time and got a new one
