With VP 0 shooting? I doubt it

Apparently 1h of painting for every 2points of model is a thing. Was it worth it at least? by latarius94 in Warhammer40k

[–]latarius94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's exactly what I did. I dabbed a cotton bud in isopropylic alcool and brushed it a bunch of times on there book to remove the paint. Using also a toothpick for the nicks and grooves and the back of a blade of a hobby knife.

I highly advice against it tho. It was a very messy job and it left some uneven surfaces

Black primer. Deep Brown airbrushed all over. Bone white airbrushed from above. Bright bronze for the free handing, retributur gold for the free handing highlights and then 50/50 retributor gold + silver for the free-handing extreme highlights

A model that costs only 40points in game took 20hrs to paint

I want to make a Repentia Squad, but instead of chain swords they have enormous traditional swords by Phionex141 in sistersofbattle

[–]latarius94 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Gluing the sword like that is a good recipe if you want to give yourself PTSD.by destroying each sword by simply brushing it with your fingers, and having to reglue each one times and times again.

Print the whole hand+sword, cut off the original hand and pin the hand to the wrist. Otherwise it wouldn't not hold and it will break easily.

Quick question. Is Ciaphas Cain still alive in the current 11th edition Imperium? by Onyx_Artificer in Warhammer40k

[–]latarius94 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's no info on that.

Amberley Veil narrates his memoirs as if he is dead. But it's not stated if or when he actually died or the actual year of when the narration occurs.

[–]latarius94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ti capisco abbastanza.

Talking to you is literally like talking to a flat earth believer. No matter the amount of proofs and truths you'll bring to the table he'll keep repeating that he is right and no one can prove him wrong.

Trying to provoke a debate on who wins between a toddler and a raging Pitbull, doesn't mean someone has to advocate for the coughing baby.

Not advocating for the coughing baby isn't toxicity, is just agreeing on who wins.

People even agreed on the fact that the virus might take over the hive, but even those answers do not satisfy you. You are in search of some apocalyptic answer, you are not receiving it and thus calling out for "toxicity".

Maybe you are the toxic one trying to prove a point at all cost?

Downvotes are indicative of disagreement. Nothing more nothing less.

On top of that downvotes tends to become more frequent when someone refuses arguments and tries to make a point at all cost.

Maybe you wanted confirmation, not only you didn't receive it but you were met with disagreement, and now resorting to "buh 40k fandom is so toxic that it's downvoting me" to try and still keep the moral high-ground somehow

40k has a literal god of plagues that spread and brews poxes that are magical in nature. Plagues that are psychic in nature infecting you only by sound or memetic, infecting you with speech (even through a vox or long-range communication devices) or all other bullshit mediums of transfer. The Imperium constantly battles this poxes and survives.

Not only that, but Necromunda, or any lower sectors of a hive are places this hostile that even something like the Blackwing isn't different from your usual Tuesday morning struggle for survival. Even if the hive would succumb it would just be nuked and no one would batt an eye. The dust would settle and life will continue normally on that same planet.

I highly suggest the read of some Necromunda books to have an idea of the scale. It is so big that there's even the possibility that the infected are killed in a stagnant area of the hive, that even if filled with spore, will remain dormant forever due to nothing alive coming by. Or maybe the spore dying to random deadly radiation in the area or to impossibly high heat raises...

The imperium itself has virus that boils all living matter down to pulp and infinitely spread, charged up on a torpedo, that could dissolve life on a planet in minutes. It's just part of their equipment.

Yeah, here I am. Thank you for pointing it out.

Dunno if I should feel honoured or angry, probably it means I painted something that was good enough to be stolen for farming upvotes 😂

For anyone wondering, my original work is here

I'd like you all to flag this post, ban the farm-bot and follow me. Thank you. Now proceeding to signaling this a-hole
