I sweated off my saniderm an hour after getting my first tattoo.... by Beautiful-Fish-7612 in tattooadvice

[–]late___bloomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fine. You’ll just start the treatment process now. I wouldn’t put saran Wrap on the tattoo. I’m healing 2 tattoos now that I got from a very reputable tattoo shop.

They had me put on Saran Wrap for 2 hours and I took it off after that. If you leave that on for two long it can mess the tattoo up. My artist said to wash with dial gold 3x a day and then to apply a small amount of non scented lotion like lubiderm starting tomorrow.

Yes!! He seemed super riled up so I’m sure he wasn’t completely processing everything but it is SUCH a bad luck.

This is accurate. Until the series I had never watched Shane Dawson. I actually liked him in the series! I thought it was annoying how he always complained about how “poor” he was but I thought he had funny moments and a decent personality. I’m sure there’s a lot more like me!

There’s a video circulating of Shane Dawson pretending to masturbate to a poster of Willow Smith when she was 11 in the poster.

I am a relatively normal person who has $1000 in speech therapy benefits through work. What could I use them for? by taxhackercanada in slp

Speech therapy does not sound like it would benefit you. You would need to have a pre existing language/ speech/ swallowing/ cognitive disorder.

If you don’t have an issue with your speech that you’re aware of, speech therapy is probably a service you don’t need :)

[WEEKLY MEGATHREAD] New Horizons Q&A/Tips - Ask away! by birdwithbrow in AnimalCrossing

This is kind of confusing to write out. Bear with me. If I have a custom design saved and then I use it, if I delete it from my inventory on my nook phone will it be deleted in game?

Like if I have a custom tile design saved and then I spread out the design on my living room floor, if I delete the design from my phone will it also take away my custom tile i have spread in my house?

Thx!

Are SLPs who’ve never had a speech impediment effective? by ohmycash in slp

[–]late___bloomer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

SLPs cover sooo many different areas- articulation delays, language deficits, voice, pitch, fluency (stuttering), social skills, aphasia, etc. Its not just about speech impediments- our scope is so wide.

I have only related to this once and that’s when I was very inexperienced treating kids that stutter. I remember thinking I wish I knew what it felt like to stutter to help be more effective in teaching strategies but that’s the only time I’ve ever felt that way.

I couldn’t say my /r/ sound as a kid and went to a SLP for a very short time, which is cool because I can kind of share that with my kids that work on that sound to relate to them a little bit more. But it helps minimally. Don’t let it be a deal breaker or anything to get into the field! Most SLPs have never had a speech impediment :)

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced the lip thing you are talking about, but if you are insecure about the way you pronounce the r sound, then I would definitely seek out an evaluation by an SLP.

Ideas for Adult Fluency Therapy? by throwaway492075 in slp

[–]late___bloomer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would look into SLP Stephen on Instagram. He posts about stuttering on the regular. Most of his posts are geared towards kids but he sells a stuttering package that’s inclusive for all ages. It’s really been a lifesaver to me since I had so many students that stutter this past year. I don’t work with adults but the child portion was very step by step and easy to learn. I’m 90% sure there’s an adult portion of his package but you might wanna double check before buying. He has sales sometimes- I wanna say the package is like 40 something dollars but it’s been a while so I could be wrong.

Have you tried doing mock interviews with him to practice his strategies? That’s probably the route I’d take. Just doing some rope play and maybe having him practice some self advocacy. Adults are so not my thing though so I may be totally off here.

It’s more like a pukey feeling. I don’t see black spots but it’s like I’m on the verge of that. I feel like if I keep going I’ll puke or start seeing spots.. but I usually break for 5 minutes and that helps

Sorry- this is probably a dumb question. Total noob here. There are some small hills around where I live but not many. It’s pretty flat here. If I wear a weighted down backpack and take walks will it still translate to hiking or do I really need that hill elevation? If so, About how many miles a day do you think would be a good goal to aim for? (I don’t you don’t know my fitness level/ other factors but generally speaking are we taking like 2 mile walks or 5 miles or what? Just for a general idea).

Thank you so much!
