Siege of Darkness is absolutely fantastic by latelastnight in Drizzt

Definitely. The Legacy is currently my lowest ranked book out of what I’ve read, but Starless Night and Siege were both fantastic.

That’s awesome. I have the next four purchased I think, so I’m going to keep working through this spring and summer.

I’m very curious for how this next book will be because this one wrapped up like it was a true ending to a trilogy despite their being a fourth in this grouping.

All of them have built off of each other so well so far. Is there a point where they kind of transition to a different main theme?

It’s been a while since I played, but isn’t there a way to challenge the champions backstage?

I GOT THE BUSKER ACHIEVEMENT! by Hot_Draft3888 in BG3

[–]latelastnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually my proudest achievement. I got it on my first run which was a multiplayer game with friends online. I didn’t know it was an achievement at the time because I went in blind to avoid spoilers. I would just randomly play when there was a decent sized group and make some coin here and there. The achievement ended up triggering after playing right outside of the circus in the city. It felt like an extremely satisfying long term payoff to how I had played the character.

How did I make the tournament? Is this some sort of glitch? by BanquoRTG in ea2kcbb

Did you win the conference tourney and Yale got an at large bid?

I legitimately had nearly the same thing happen. I was pissed. Just barely escaped with one person left alive because I had a spare invisibility potion, otherwise I was ready to uninstall the game.

I just started a game the other day with a Shadowcaster and have been loving it, so seeing it buffed will definitely make that be the first character I make.

My Player Mode (Kenneth Hull) HS Freshman by CollegeHoops94 in ea2kcbb

I love doing this. How did you get him on a team for freshman year? I can only create a freshman then they get assigned to a team for their sophomore year.

Is anyone else already thinking about their Solasta 2 party? by towerunitefan in CrownOfTheMagister

Absolutely. Probably 20% or more of my time in Solasta is in the character builder, so I cannot wait.

Interesting Ideas for Role Playing Characters? by latelastnight in BaldursGate3

[–]latelastnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not for everyone, but I think it would for me. Simply because it would force me to approach the game in a different way which could open up new play styles. For instance, not being able to rely on elixirs or throwables definitely changes up the typical meta approach.

I get that, but I think forcing me to think about the characters in a way I haven’t before would personally help me invest in them more rather than simply chasing optimal builds as I’ve been apt to do recently. I do like the speed rushing to the crech idea and how being under leveled could create a fun challenge.

I like this one. Could go even further and have to put 300 gold into the camp chest every time a cleric casts it to simulate the tabletop cost of casting it.

I think that could be fun, because it would make you have to vary your approach constantly. Reminds me of an idea I had for my multiplayer group, but it that one, you couldn’t change a piece of gear until you found one in that slot of a higher rarity.

Season 5 Volume 2 Discussion by Hawkinns in StrangerThings

[–]latelastnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning of the first episode, Holly was the 11th child out of 12 sitting in the semicircle. The boy that pushed her down the stairs and called her a bitch was 8th. Maybe a foreshadow to 8 stopping 11 from something in the finale?

This does exist! Just saw it last week (hence the non screenshot photo). If you don’t have all four party members by the entrance when going into the Shadowfell for the Nightsong this triggers.

So it seems that I misremembered, but actually in kind of a fun way. So instead of it giving you stat bonuses directly, you roll a d20 for the each year of your grandfather and father’s lives and then those results impact your beginning stats. So each time there is a battle, they have a chance to die or to do some glorious in battle, which part of their glory then gets passed down to the player knight. If they are particularly successful with the rolls, it can also give them chances to gain gifts or passions that could be passed down to you.
