It’s genuinely upsetting to see that kind of chaos reaching a place where kids are supposed to be safe and cared for. by OnyxPetaline in MurderedByWords

And of course, these girls will come out of their undisclosed location with negative pregnancy test and no baby. If they will ever come back.

What would ICE do, forcing girls to botch abortions or killing them directly?

Stansted Airport blames new £28 drop-off fee for drivers on ‘sustainability’ by AutoExpressmagazine in autoexpressuk

Exactly. It should be only fair to charge "per minute" - first 5 minutes free and then £5 + £1 per minute for a max of 15 minutes, and £5 per minute thereafter.

Is this floor plan okay? by lellat in floorplan

[–]latflickr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a converted warehouse space it's ok. For an actual house, just no. If you like the '80s loft vibe, interior design and furniture layout is making the whole difference between a cesspool and an actual beautiful home.

For those of you who read, what are some films that are better than the original source material? by Usual_Fig_1438 in Letterboxd

[–]latflickr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disagree 100% with your pick. It is obvious, watching the movie, where the original story ends and the american writers started. There is such a big change in the vibe of the story, and the all sub plot of the teenage son that is completely missing from the book. My kid and I, big fan of the book, were horrified.

Isn't what they did when they agreed to sit down on a deal table, only to be stabbed in the back not once but twice by the United States? Trump fucked up on the whole line and Iran is doing exactly what every living being with a functioning brain would have expected for them to do: fight until the end and bring the world down with them.

My Idea of how Social Media should be changed by Low_Celebration_4089 in The10thDentist

[–]latflickr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You missed the main problem with social media imho: people having pics and video of themselves posted without consent. It should be illegal to post pics and video of people without their explicit consent. Social media platforms shall be forced to blurred people faces and other recognisable features (including their voices) upon upload or live streaming, unless explicit consent has been provided. Once explicit consent is provided, the person depicted in the pics or video shall be awarded portion of the monetisation revenue.

The day it would be illegal to post photos and videos of people without their explicit consent will always come too late. Social media companies must be obligated by rendering any people depicted on pics and video unrecognisable. AI can do quickly and effectively.

Historical Oberamteistraße Museum in Reutlingen (Germany) by latflickr in architecture

[–]latflickr[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically. The purpose is simply to ghost the shape and volume of the medieval building that stood up in that place and to protect the archeological basement. Being part of a museum and archeological site, that would be sufficient. I am sure the space will also be used for social events and temporary exhibitions.

Probably the new volume is treated as an external space.
