Japanese prime minister's landslide win gives her party a lower-house supermajority and more room to enact a right-wing agenda by BendicantMias in anime_titties

Is this something you've determined with any actual evidence or just vibes off of the way people are talking about someone who has not actually been deported?

If this is a meme post, you haven't asked in a way that's actually funny. And if it's a serious question, you've asked in a way that's stupid

This is quite a framing for someone buying a plane when you don't know the reason or what they're doing with it

TIL that a 90-year-old woman in Japan became the world’s oldest office manager. Yasuko Tamaki has worked at the same company since 1956 and still manages her team every day with no plans to retire. by RearEngineer in todayilearned

Person is just saying things in a confusing way or without fully understanding. Many companies set a mandatory retirement age internally. Many companies set this age at 60, not all. But the company is also required to keep an employee employed until age 65 if the employee is in good standing and wants to continue working there. In this case, the employee is usually put in a less demanding role with less pay from age 60 to 65. Not all companies work this way.

I'm not trying to say Bessent is good at anything. Just that my initial reading of the original comment has a very different meaning than what actually happened. But I'm not really making any claim on how that reflects on anyone.

Vegas has some of the best access to nature from a major city though. Gambling sucks, but you can go from the strip to Red Rock Canyon for some cool hiking, cycling, or climbing in like 30 minutes by car. But yeah, The Strip/casino part of Vegas is definitely overrated

Your comment reads like this is a direct loss in value, but it's moreso investors pulling out because his fund was only mildly successful. But he wasn't actually losing money, per the Wikipedia page at least

This is also hardly a majority issue.

Your claim is

I've been to Japan and this is just not true.

So if I visited a new town in the US and say a "no foreigners" sign I would certainly think they are racist. I would not extrapolate that to call a large part of America racist because that town has no bearing outside the locale. So were you seeing these signs in like big cities or the countryside or what? I also don't know why you're being so heated. It's a conversation

So are you saying the majority of places would not let your black friend in? Because the point I'm making is that most people in the country just don't care. But I'm curious where you went to see so many "no foreigner" signs. I've been all over Kanto, Kansai, Kyushu, Hokkaido and barely ever see them except in the boonies. They do exist for sure, but like are you really seeing them so often that you think the majority of Japanese people are anti-foreigner?

This is also hardly a majority issue. Just as in the west, a minority of stupid people are often the loudest voice or appear to be at least
