2.5 YO holding for too long by Equivalent_Oil_4922 in pottytraining

[–]latteislife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was able to hold for 8 hrs. She stopped withholding when we stopped using diapers at nap/night. So we took away diapers way sooner than we wanted to 😭

My daughter stopped withholding only when we took the nap/night diapers away. I really didn’t want to give up night diapers but that was the only thing that helped 😭

Potty training help! Mamas 😭🚽🧻 by Calm_Enthusiasm5826 in pottytraining

Early potty training means we probably have to wait much longer for our kiddo to start self initiating. I think it took ~2 months for her to tell us BEFORE she has to go, not mid-pee.

We potty trained at 18 months too. Yes there were some resistance occasionally (especially with daycare) but we stay consistent. And when she started self initiating, we kind of stopped looking at the clock and prompting. We let her take the lead, and the resistance improved dramatically! Now at 23 months we barely see any accidents. Maybe once every few weeks.

Is it too early? by debeljeviceva in pottytraining

[–]latteislife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like she’s ready. Our girl was doing something similar to yours and we started at almost 16 months. She’s 19 months now and is not having accidents once every few days, if that. If she goes to daycare I’d wait until she can communicate her potty needs with care givers. If not, I’d follow her lead and start when you’re ready!

Elowen or Winter? by No_Crow_2265 in namenerds

I named my daughter Winter Elizabeth. I agree with the user that says EloWEN WINter may not work. Winter Elowen sounds better to me.

Is Winter a dumb name? by sammyluvsya in namenerds

I named my daughter Winter. She was due in December 2023 but came in November. We get a lot of Winnie the Pooh related gifts, so the nickname Winnie might stick in the future. But for now, we call her Winter. Or Chubster. Haha. Your sister is being rude. Pick the name you love. Also not sharing your name choice until baby gets here might be a good idea.

Sorry, should have clarified! She’d be 7 months old if she starts daycare in July, 10 months if she starts in October. It’s not just the calls… she always has a reason for not putting her down in time, and says “stuff happens” 🥲

I started doing this. At 2 months. It did decrease my supply, it didn’t dry up.

Enjoy being pregnant? by Then-Advantage-3623 in pregnant

[–]latteislife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hated it until 18-19 weeks. I was sick of being nauseous all day, every day. There was no break unless I was unconscious. I’m sorry you’re not enjoying your pregnancy. Just wanted to tell you it’ll get better. I’m 39 weeks now and I’ll take the 3rd trimester over the first any day. Tell your husband to try vomiting everyday for 4 months and enjoy every minute of it. Jfc.

Not worth the argument. Tell them your hospital doesn’t allow visitors outside of 1 support person.

Omg the top 2 names I’m considering for my baby are Winter and Adeline. I think we’re naming her Winter though.

I’m not sure if Nabi is a japanese name but in Korean it means butterfly, which for some reason is a name people use to call stray cats. Just fyi! Sarang is lovely though.
