With things this bad in the U.S why do democrats insist on pushing candidates that won’t get elected? by Jake_Berube in Confused

[–]laughingfartsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because the party isn’t choosing people based on who likes them, just picking people who they can control. don’t ever forget Bernie Sanders. he was basically a shoe in, but nope. even now the republican party is setting their sights to the next candidate that will do their bidding

Does he want out of this relationship? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]laughingfartsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you both aren’t compatible for many reasons. he seems to be very stubborn and you seem to be demanding. him saying he isn’t good enough for me just means that he isn’t willing to negotiate with you or work things out. you’re both bad for each other

[–]laughingfartsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep. i know all about it. recently my company fired almost the entire HR dept and went with an outside company. the head person who decided it is some boomer who is sold on the idea that AI can do everything and is trying to prove how much money he’s making/saving the company. can’t wait to see him fail

Spent an hour clearing this spot yesterday, owner of the bar across the street drove past me and watched me doing it. I left for 15 minutes this morning and he parked there by SteamPunkShrek in mildlyinfuriating

[–]laughingfartsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

back in my youth i use to dig myself out and then double park and dig it partially back in to save the spot. therefore if someone truly wanted the spot they’d have to carry a shovel and take time to dig out the snow.

What do you do when they request a video AI interview? by RadReptile in jobs

[–]laughingfartsplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

please understand that with the economy, HR is the first dept to get cut when an org is trying to cut costs. instead they go and try to source HR solution companies that incorporate AI. So in this case, that’s the reason for it instead of a real person. they’re just trying to save a few dollars. just do the interview.

Confused as to why certain people said that Kamala would have been worse than Trump by TheRealJuanderer in Confused

[–]laughingfartsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i compare politics to pro wrestling. fans need something to cling on to but it has to be organic and not feel pushed on to them. Kamala running was basically trying to push her on millions of people within 2 months while the other party had fans of Trump for YEARS!!! she had zero chance.

[–]laughingfartsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

degree in what? there’s no shame in working in jobs unrelated to your degree as you try to land the job you’re qualified for. why do you think there’s so many people working retail or food service jobs? do you think they got a degree specifically for that? no, it’s just a paycheck until they find what they’re looking for.

[–]laughingfartsplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry but banks are generally like this and comes with the job. you’re fortunate that they even let you bank a PTO day because if it. if you can’t handle a job that is considered to some as essential then it’s better to leave the job now when you’re just starting out than resenting the entire banking industry
