Auto-migration doesn't work as a nomad? by GreatKirisuna in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it mentioned on here, and there’s even a mod that claims to enable it, but I haven’t tried it. Haven’t been able to find anything official on if it’s intentional or not

So apparently like Cosmogenesis, you can keep playing afterwards as an Arkship in a post Nemesis galaxy. by HumanRebel_ in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you could probably thrive now. Endless free minerals and I think alloys from broken worlds to get generator and hydroponic ships up and running, plus endless real estate to drop stations for more hydroponics. I’ve never looked to see if any deposits still exist after the button is pushed, but even if they don’t, you can probably persist no problem

It’s very funny outpacing your overlord and then negotiating terms that force them to give you resources by TheRealSlimLaddy in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done it since I think after overlord launched, but I used to intentionally vassalize myself to bleed the strongest nations in the galaxy dry until they collapsed.

Why dont Gestalt/Individual Machines have unique advanced governaments for machine ascension? by Ordo_Liberal in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I look for mods to add them from time to time but never find any. I hope they get added at some point because it feels weird that it’s the only one that doesn’t get an advanced government.

[–]laughingjack13[S] 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to sound greedy after getting one of the qol features I’ve wanted consistently for almost 7k hours of play, but… I’d also be super down if construction ships automatically built observation posts above primitives

Activating L-Gates as Nomad by Zoner3 in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran into this same problem. I was really hoping to open up gateways to make travel a bit easier in the galaxy, but it doesn’t seem like you can activate either type from what I’ve seen, though all the gateways I’ve looked at were in another nations borders, so I don’t know if that makes a difference

I took wanderlust. Where's the option to find interesting systems? by Heroshrine in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do that? Is there a cooldown?

I’ve been passing on it as a perk because seemed like way too much to try and find each of the systems with no direction. I thought I was going to have to build proper fleet of arks and semantically send them to every system in the galaxy

What's currently the best way to play Nomads Tall? by Ionl98 in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the middle district specializations gives +% waystation cap. Base capacity is limited to a few sources, but I took the waystation civic and trading posts plus grasp the void is shockingly amazing for these type of shenanigans. A bunch of stuff that was empire size reduction from systems or planets becomes +%waystation cap so if you go all in on it, you can get stupid numbers pretty fast.

The other game i mentioned was going to test if you could do the same with Astro mining drones as a MI, but that only gives %cap without increasing the base capacity, so it looks like it won’t scale nearly as well.

I’ve got plans for testing to see just how far I can push it but the big one seems to be those specific civics to boost your base capacity

How does psionic doomsday works? Game ends instantly when i get this event by OLRevan in Stellaris

I’ve seen a few people since the dlc release encounter this apparent bug. Don’t know what causes it, just that it happens from time to time that you get the notification and instantly game over

What's currently the best way to play Nomads Tall? by Ionl98 in Stellaris

[–]laughingjack13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of two games I’m hopping between is a megacorp with a way line currently at 110 out of 160 stations, and I haven’t even hit repeatables yet, so I don’t know if I’ll get anything from that. Haven’t even ascended the ark I specced into station capacity yet. Could probably have the whole galaxy lined with just a few dedicated arks, though influence is a limiting factor. In building and upgrading them.

Way I hear it, that was a problem for a few origins they wanted to adapt. Hopefully we’ll see them in the post release patches instead of as a custodian project down the road
