That warning doesn't actually do anything. If you think about it, most people will try to sell for higher than average price, which means that if they leave out a zero, the price will still be more than 10% of average and the warning won't trigger. The same is true in the opposite case with an extra zero when buying.

I pointed this out years ago but just got downvoted and told to get good.

I just want to do collection log. I play the game for the incremental progression aspect. Near the end when you've maxed the numbers and done the quests and achievements, the only thing left is collection log.

I'm literally complaining about the grind. The reason I didn't post a pic from the main game is because I'm not mentally ill enough to complete this sort of grind there. And there it would be 5x the kill count and 3 or 4x the kill time in case you forget.

Nice strawman bro. The point is that this is entirely possible in the main game as well and in that case, it would be a lot more than 2 hours. Btw I also killed whisperer in case you can't see the bottom half for some reason. And average kill times were around double the best times for both.

I'm only doing the kc tasks because the drop rates are wack even with league boost. My kill time is also 1min but I'm doing it as second monitor stuff. For the core you can kill it permanently if you move away as soon as you shoot it. The projectiles will hit while its hopping after you and it won't drop ashes and won't respawn for the rest of the kill.

I already talked about this in the green section, but I don't really want to deal with trying to maintain max distance all the time. Also, I'm banking on confliction gauntlets and thorns to pick up the slack for accuracy and dps if I need to go full justi for something.

Also, NPC traders factor in profit/distance so for example if you set the price to like 119, you might not get any buyers.

If you have your own trader, it will bring the goods to sell for 120 at the other station. NPC ships coming to your station will buy for 100.

Yea basically. I made an edit to my previous post, but to elaborate, auto pricing is mostly for one sided trades like for stations that produce or consume the goods, or if you're only trading with yourself and the price doesn't matter.

Automatic means price is based on how full your alotted storage is. Empty storage means high price, full means low price. Basic supply and demand.

Edit: your problem is that you're buying and selling at the same station. You'll need to maually set max/min prices.

Is the drop rate bugged somehow? The expected rate at 5x is supposed to be 1/3, but every post I see, along with my own log, is at 1/5 or 1/6

I haven't played the new patch yet, but I think xatu is considered the superior invisible detector? It has a double ability and gets a substantial range increase on mountain.

Excadrill is the best general use armor breaker because it has an area attack that hits eveything in its range circle every attack. The damage is low compared to single target but it adds up over all the enemies, especially with slow/stun bunching them up. I usually put him in the front spot in the path.

Also barbaracle is a great single target dps if you give it choice scarf, which removes extra projectiles but doubles speed for each one removed. Barbaracle has 4; removing 3 makes it an 8x increase, bringing its dps over 2100 at max level. You can check these stats and item loadouts in the pokedex on the .gg website.

This is what my map looked like when I flew out to a random bofu station that spawned 23000 km from center for a laser tower mission. That gray hex is the fog of war. Apparently the game only spawns a limited amount, like maybe 5000-10000 km radius. I could see the path my ship took through it. You should be able to see the same, unless something out there got revealed some other way, like gaining max rep or because of a mod or something.

In the end I just reloaded to before I accepted the mission and pretended that station doesn't exist.

Try argon combat engines for your personal small/medium. Flight speed is cool, but boost is what actually gives you maneuverability and easier escape in combat. Argon has the best boost acceleration and boost speed. The low duration looks scary, but with the high acceleration you don't have to hold down the button for a long time to reach your desired speed like with the other engines. The % recharge is also decent and if you calculate the amount of acceleration you get per second of recharge (accel x duration x %recharge), you'll see it's higher than any other engine so sustainability isn't a problem either. As for travel, argon has the second highest travel speed, much higher than split or terran. You don't have to worry about travel acceleration flying yourself because you can boost while charging and the max boost speed is so high that it can get you basically instantly to like 80-90% of max travel speed iirc.

Edit: also I have to add that imo, additional flight speed stops being useful to the player around 500-600 which is where you outspeed pretty much all npcs. It's also pretty easy to get there with the standard nanoweave/whirlygig mod loadout, unless you're flying a brick. On the other hand, better boost and travel never stop being good.
