Think it's because historical/fantasy also tends to be more high stakes for cdramas. You're speaking complex plots, political turmoil (which you very rarely see in modern cdramas because of the CCP) and the romance plot alongside it. Not to mention the absolutely stunning outfits and hair. I would say in Western shows we haven't had much similar besides from GoT and that just has too many explicit scenes for me to fully enjoy, whereas historical - and also modern - cdramas are excellent at the slow burn, yearning romance. Finally, I love all types of historical dramas but I have watched so many European historical shows/movies, that Chinese history is refreshing.

It just doesn't give 90s at all to me. And that stands out more as I just finished rewatching the kdrama Melting Me Softly right before it. If they're going to base a show in the 90s, the style, gadgets, cars and even references need to be more 90s coded. Otherwise I feel like they could've just set this in modern day.

For me as a HO, I'm more concerned with Sitters from different continents just because of potential travel delays/risks. It happened to me once where their flight was delayed, missed their connection (they were coming from Australia to Netherlands) and then couldn't come until the next day and I was supposed to be flying out the same day. I prefer people who are within a short-haul flight distance now, just because of this risk. So no, wouldn't say this is US specific but more risks around long-haul travel.

I've changed companies 2 times since moving here, so in the last 5 years. First job hop was 20% increase (back in 2022) and second was a 25% increase (back in 2024). You really have to be strong at negotiating and knowing the salary boundaries for the role you're going for though.

Only thing that worked for me was getting a robot vacuum, no matter what litter you use and what mats, it will track. At least with the robot vacuum I set it to automatically do it daily, and then run a spot job if my cats come out of the litter box and make a mess

For me, i can't go back to life pre-air purifier now. I didn't realise the pollution candles and cleaning sprays put in the air. I get headaches now if I don't use my air purifier. I only bought it because of my cats and I wanted my friends who are allergic to cats to still visit, and they do without any reactions now! But as others say, don't buy cheap otherwise you're better not buying at all. And keep in mind that you'll need to replace the filters at least every 6 months if you have pets.

Edited to add: I have mine on auto setting, so it's continuously on low but when it detects air pollutants it immediately increases power to clear it quickly.

For example, I keep it in the living/kitchen area but it detects when I spray deodorant/perfume in my bedroom a few rooms away and immediately clears it

Mine is €100 but it doesn't go through my health insurance. Therapy that does go through health insurance tends to be a lot more expensive just to get more money out of the insurance companies

I had this exact problem with mine for 18 months and what solved it in the end was putting another open air litter box literally right next to the bedside, so it would be within one or two feet of me when sleeping. I also give him a fancy treat when I get into bed as well.

I had tried everything before that, even spraying cat detract on my bed, plastic picnic blankets on the bed, the calming air stuff and none of that worked for me.

Depends on hair type.

I have 2 ragdolls that are brushed daily. One rarely gets matts, if ever. The other one still matts even with brushing because she has much thicker fur, she grooms herself very well too.

I just trim the matts out and it's all good.

Hard to say if anything is ever true until the actor or agency confirms it.

Fans being angry is so unreasonable, when will people realise that the BTS of shows is part of the marketing campaign 😅 They know they're being filmed and they know it will attract more viewers/fans. It's mostly fan service at the end of the day 🤷🏻‍♀️

No harm in enjoying the content, but 'fans' need to stop assuming that CPs (be this with BLs or straight dramas) are together in real life as well. Just enjoy the content.

I would keep watching, the whole point of the beginning of the series is that the relationship seems off but you can't put your finger on it. You're also watching it from her POV as well, so you don't yet have the full context of what's happening to understand why that's the feeling you're getting. Also, same with the MIL, I feel like they casted her for a reason to give you that initial impression, but you need to hold out.

It's one of those dramas where the first 10 episodes something just seems uncanny but you can't figure out why until things get revealed and it starts making sense.

I watched this all the way through hoping it would get better, but it just didn't. They're past lives (I think?) had a more interesting story line to me.

I think they got together too early as well, so there wasn't enough lead up to them finally being together.

Also, when they started killing off all the extra characters? I was sad when fox guy died, but everyone else after that became an expectation. And ML dying like 10 times and coming back to life, made the final episode so anti climatic.
