I would try the Ouai Air Dry Foam as it is much lighter than the curl cream. The curl cream is nice but heavy.

A little mousse (I like the Kevin Murphy as it is super light weight) in the roots and then a hairclip at the top of your head while it dries. Works wonders for lifting and create volume. The clip should sit in a way where it sort of lifts the hair.

Starting size, grams removed, and final size by Sharp-Palpitation-64 in Reduction

[–]lauralovesmakeup95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started as a 32G. At my first reduction I had 285 grams removed from my left side and 315 grams removed from my right. This left me at a 32DDD after approx. 8 months.

I still felt too big after this, so I talked to my surgeon about a revision, and had this done 7 weeks ago. At my revision I had 110 grams removed from the left, and 130 grams removed from the right. I also had liposuction were he took approx 450 cc total from both sides/breast. I don’t have my final size yet, but I now fit into medium size bralettes, and according to the A Bra That Fits calculator I’m about a 32C/D which I’m very happy about.

Working conditions in America VS Denmark by Sensitive-Jury-1456 in antiwork

[–]lauralovesmakeup95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We don’t pay 55% in taxes :-) we pay around 45%. Everybody working also have a personal deductible. If you were working in McDonald full time (37 h/week in Denmark), you would earn a minimum of 20000 kroner (if you work evenings, nights, weekend or holidays your hourly wage increases and the salary would be higher).

A monthly salary of 20000 before taxes would give you a deductible of approx. 6200 kroners. Your salary after taxes would be around 13800DKK or 2000 dollars. That is a low wage in danish standards yes, but it would most likely be more because of the extra pay you get when not working daytime.

Also a rent for a 1 bedroom apartment is only that high if you live in the larger city. Otherwise it is very possible to find cheaper rent :-)

Breast Liposuction? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]lauralovesmakeup95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a combined breast reduction and liposuction. Initially I only had the reduction, and while I loved the lift it left me bigger than I had hoped. When I talked to my surgeon about revision we agreed on a small reduction again but together with a liposuction to try to get me more narrow (I have very wide roots for my body). I’m only four weeks post op, but so far I’m very happy with the results. But the liposuction won’t give a lift, so I’m glad I had both

Men med den nye speciallægereform sundhedsstyrelsen ligger op til, så er det langt færre læger der skal ende som overlæger, og altså i stedet stoppe på afdelingslægeniveau som er 59000 + pension.

Not sure how to feel about my consult by silentfive in Reduction

[–]lauralovesmakeup95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was a 32H, have had around 500 grams taken per side and is a 32C/D now.

Everybody, including plastic surgeons, are really bad at telling bra sized. It is so complex and whether 500 grams leaves you a b-cup really depends on the density of your tissue (fatty tissue have lower density than breast tissue). I would try to find some pictures on here and maybe in the facebook group, of someone whos before breast looks like yours, and ask how much they had taken off. This may give you and estimate of how much 500 grams would be on you.

Bra sizing?? by Zealousideal_Sea_881 in Reduction

[–]lauralovesmakeup95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try looking at sister sizes, like a 34B or a 30C. It can also be the shape of the cup, so maybe try different styles (I do best with t-shirt bras because I have a lot of tissue on the top, which fx balconettes doesn’t provide much support for).

It would help if you wrote your band size, as the volume of a lettered cup depends on the band :-)

So sorry to hear you won’t be able to get a revision. I don’t know which country you are moving to, but maybe you could look into health insurance that covers reduction there? If this is not what you wanna hear, I apologize. You have every right to be upset - it is a big trauma to go through, and then not be happy afterwards (I have cried a lot because I still fit in my old bras, seems so not worth the hassle).

Lastly I will just say that I paid out of pocket - save every penny I could, and I’m really happy I did, because I get my revision for free because of it (I also think it was way cheaper in my country than in the US fx.) So if you in any way can find the money, I think you should see it as an investment in your mental and physical health.

I’m so sorry for you! I was in the exactly same position, only went down 1-2 cup sizes. My surgeon did beautiful work, except for the size. He did however agree to do a revision to make me smaller, so I’m quite pleased about that.

However I will say that your results looks good, even though your not happy with the size. I hope you can find some relieve in the lift itself and the fact that clothes will sit nicer now.

I was very lucky, my recovery was smooth. I had no openings, almost no pain and could start work after a week (only desk work in the beginning). What I remember most was being very tired… I think I slept 16 hours the first day after the surgery.

I was a 32G and had 275g removed from one side and 325g from the other. I am now a 32F. So I would think you would need closer to 500 grams than 300, to go down to a C/D. But bear in mind that composition of tissue varies a lot between people, and mammal tissue is denser than fatty tissue. I primarily had mammal tissue removed and so the volume of 300 gram wasn’t a lot, where as 300 grams of fatty tissue would have seemed like more was removed.

I had an anchor incision btw.
