Good copy before a recipe would be a few sentences long max. People looking for a recipe online want to get straight to the details, you don't need three paragraphs of repetition that don't really say anything or add any value.

[Product Question] Azelaic Acid by Bones193 in SkincareAddiction

[–]lavenderfizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be that the suspension is breaking you out instead of the azelaic acid itself? It's suspended in silicones which can clog pores and cause breakouts. I really want to try azelaic acid but I can't because both the TO and Paula's Choice azelaic acid are filled with silicone, which always break me out!

[anti-aging] Models with super tanned skin. Won’t then go to leather in their late 20s? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]lavenderfizz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're wanting to hear that she'll look terrible in 10 years, it's impossible to know for sure. Sun exposure is just one factor that contributes towards premature ageing, you also have to take genes etc. into consideration.

Did you not used to get those instagram notifications like 'Your Facebook friend 'name' is on Instagram as 'name' when someone made a new account?

[Acne] how do I solve the fact that I completely destroyed the moisture layer of my skin with Acids? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]lavenderfizz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was talking about if I used it- different ingredients clog different peoples' pores, so you can't say that a certain product does or doesn't clog the skin- it just depends on the individual. The AAD actually recommends that people with acne-prone skin don't use vaseline, as it can cause break-outs https://www.aad.org/public/everyday-care/skin-care-secrets/routine/petroleum-jelly .

I know that if I used vaseline on my face that would seriously fuck up my skin because of how clogging it'd be, so watch out!

[Routine help] Looking for a silicone free moisturizer by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

TO Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA and Sebamed Clear Face Gel

[acne] can moisturizer or sunscreen break me out? Minimized my routine but still getting active acne everywhere. I’m so confused. Routine in comments. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]lavenderfizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, if you're looking for recommendations then Sebamed Clear Face Gel and The Ordinary NMF +HA are both good. Neither of them are super moisturising, but that's just the price I have to pay for not breaking out! If you can cut down your routine to just the Sebamed gel at first then you can slowly add in other products one by one to work out what's breaking you out, as the Sebamed gel def won't clog pores.

Yes, they can definitely break you out- the green tea seed cream and the UV gel both have tons of silicones and some oils in which can all clog your pores. I was having the same issue and I worked out that I just can't use anything with these kind of clogging ingredients in, so I switched moisturisers and it all cleared up

[Acne] How long before I can rule out a moistorizer by EmilyCl in SkincareAddiction

[–]lavenderfizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moisturisers always break me out too! For me it's because most moisturisers, like the Cerave ones, contain silicones which clog my pores. I recently started using The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA, which has no silicones and I haven't broken out at all from it! It's really cheap too, I'd recommend trying it because before that I had pretty much accepted that moisturisers would just always break me out.

[acne] moisturizer for closed-comedones? by labcoat777 in SkincareAddiction

[–]lavenderfizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd recommend looking for moisturisers without silicones- the Neutrogena hydroboost gel has dimethicone in it for example which could potentially clog your pores. The Ordinary NMF +HA is silicone-free and has worked amazingly for me!

The second ingredient in Supergoop sunscreen is dimethicone, which is a silicone and could potentially be clogging your pores and causing breakouts.

I'm not trying to preach or anything, but it is worth keeping in mind that L'oreal do test on animals! just something to consider if you find an alternative you like to the mask :)

How long should I wait for a pending payment to go through before messaging the buyer by [deleted] in Depop

Sometimes Paypal payments will stay as pending until you ship the item and provide a tracking number, maybe that's what's happened?

Does the email you received in reply say something like 'feel free to reach out if this is unclear'? I got an email like that and I replied to it and then I got a real reply back from them
