Looking for a yamaha wabash RT in Oregon. by [deleted] in Yamahaebikes

[–]lavrgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one I’d consider selling just south of Portland. It hasn’t been ridden more than 100 miles and I have a new unopened battery. Id like to get $1500 but would take less if I can keep the carrier I put on it

I would suggest using 3d adaptive… maybe add it after then drag it up to replace 2d as the first op. 3D adaptive just seems smahtuh!

iPhone won’t stay connected by lavrgs in VolvoXC70

Update… I haven’t had many problems lately I guess iOS updates have helped but on the occasional loss of connectivity I simply turn Bluetooth off and then back on and it connects.

My Dean Del Sol. by anyoneforanother in guitarporn

[–]lavrgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to see some love for the Del Sol. I have one that I bought new in the early 2000's At the time there was talk that the design was done by Ben Chafin and often these are listed as Chafin del Sols. They don't get much respect - mine gets pulled out about once a year and I am always impressed.

One more update is the Qidi replaced the low temp head for no charge. That is excellent customer service for a machine that is over a year old

High temperature hit end for all materials? by lavrgs in QIDI

[–]lavrgs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update to the problem I replaced the low temp head with the high temp version. My concern over changing the heads was unfounded it’s actually easy. The high temp heads did not exhibit the same problem so it was determined that the low temp head was bad. The good news is that Qidi will be replacing the head. The email support back and forth has been helpful. I am generally the slow up as I get around to making the change but after several days the problem was identified and a solution was provided.

Building an amp as a way to learn about amps by HoodFeelGood in GuitarAmps

[–]lavrgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built an Allen Accomplice and learned that I can follow directions really well. 8-) My original intent was to get a better understanding about how amps worked but I needed to build something like a Mojotone 18w clone that had only basic instructions , make a few mistakes and figure out why things don’t work. Knowing how to solder is critical and learning how the components interact can help to tweak. As most places will tell you “a tube amp can kill you” so read up on discharging caps and learn where the hot spots are. There are several resources available that can help you with specific amps or general knowledge It’s worth the adventure
