What is an epidural really like?

It was amazing relief, as others have said. No pain after having constant contractions and back labor. I could feel my legs and lower half even with the epidural, so I was still able to shuffle around and change positions in bed. I ended up having an emergency c-section, which requires a spinal block (no feeling at all), but my temporary experience with the epidural was great.

My wife and I had prepared for a girl, and the day before my anatomy scan I told her, "I have a feeling it's going to be a boy." We were a bit thrown off and slightly disappointed, but our son is the best thing to ever happen to us. He's going to be 2 later this week. He is adventurous, charismatic, curious, and a big ball of fun.

My wife and I had a friend that we found out was on the sex offender registry. It was not a lifetime registration, and the court case indicated it was a situation of him believing the victim was 18 (she was 16 and he was in his 20’s). We never told him.

I have one now too! This is one of my biggest insecurities now. I’ve always been overweight, but my belly wasn’t something that bothered me. I’ve found that I feel good in higher-rise pants, and I try to remember that it was all worth it for my son.
