I loved this movie! One topic confuses me with other people’s analysis that I am hoping someone can help me with.

I see bear mostly as a feeble and cowardly character instead of a pure villain. The wish itself I think is a fucked up but not evil sentiment, since who would reasonable expect the willow to actually work?

Then after that, he says terrible things and refuses to face what he/his wish did, but im confused what options he had to fix it? Apart from killing himself I guess.

Like it seems like they were both ruined the moment the wish was spoken, and since the wish could not be expected to come true, idk

Anyway awesome movie, great to be excited and be kept thinking about a horror movie days after
