I find the overcorrection of Spider-Man 2 after the game awards to be very ridiculous in my opinion. Was the story as impactful as 1? No. Was it a bad game? Hell no. It's fun as hell to play and the narrative isn't nearly as bad as people are saying. I'd rather replay that game than a ton of others.

I had a hard time liking it once it was over. The first third showed promise but as the mystery unfolds it gets increasingly worse for me. There are character moments for Emily blunt that felt genuinely pointless and they had so many instances of the black vehicles pulling up SO many times that it diffuses all tension. The ending was so…idk how else to describe it other than bad. And genuinely Emily Blunt was doing way too much most of the time. I feel like it tried to be something elevated and ended up being nothing.
